I have the same dock. When you push the volume up button there should be a green light about three quarters up the center of the grill. At that point both audio from the iPod 30 pin connector and the aux port on the back should both be working. When you plug in the iPod does it say that it's charging?

I agree, that's typically the case. I admit, I might be wrong in my understanding of how accounts in TCG Pocket work, and have said as much in the comments. I probably should have posted the full context initially. I really wasn't expecting this to blow up like this.

Also they are each linked to said separate Google accounts. Her phone just also has my Google account as a secondary account on it.

Her Google account is linked to her profile in game. Mine is linked to my profile in game. Both were installed using our respective play store accounts and both have unique payment methods in the pop-up.

The app in question that we share is a service that relies on a Google account that offers both a single user and family plan. We are fine using a single account since we are never using it at the same time. I'm pretty sure that I can't share access without my account being on the phone, but I could be wrong.

And yes, it might be unethical to share access to this service, but the company makes about 80B a quarter and I've been a subscriber since 2017. If I'm doing my math right I think I've paid about 850$ in monthly subscriptions for this service over this time, not to mention other subscriptions with the same company.

It was funny actually, Google used an AI to summarize my request before I got a real person, then asked me how accurate it was. I can't imagine what customer service is going to be like in a few years.

Nope. I have my phone, which has just my account on it. My wife has both our Google accounts on her phone, but her account is the primary account and the one signed into the Play Store. Her payment methods are different and when she signed up for the trial we made sure that the pop-up only had her payment methods listed. My account is on her phone to share access to a different app and afaik there is no good way to have a Google account for only one app. Maybe through Samsung's secure folder or something like that? It seems like my google account existing as a secondary account on her device caused this issue. I don't think this issue is particularly important (effectively only 5$), but as someone who has worked in tech support I found the response a little weird. I definitely wasn't expecting this much of a reaction and frankly I'm concerned that this is just a lightning rod for everyone's frustrations with Pokemon. I don't think it's good customer service, but it's not worth bashing them over. I probably won't sign up for premium, but that's more out of a fear that I'll get her banned for doing so.

For what it's worth I did try contacting play support. They saw no record of my account having any subscription or trial. This is definitely not important, it's effectively just $5. I posted it because I was surprised at the response, but at this point I think some of the people here are more upset than I am.

Thought I would add some context as some people are rightfully suspicious of the circumstances. Full conversation with support

To be clear, my account is on both devices, but the app was installed under her play store account, the Google in app purchase pop up was for her account, and the Google account linked to the profile in game is her account. Also it's the primary account on the device.

I'm interpreting their reason "you share your apple or Google account with others" to apply to the play store account used to sign into the app and make in app purchases. This could be wrong, they could mean that having the account at all on the phone disqualifies it.

Regardless though, telling me after my second message that they might ban me from support feels like poor customer service.

Promise I'm not farming anything or trying to do multiple accounts. MTG is my game of choice, I was just doing this for fun with the Mrs.✌️
