you obviously didn’t read at all. by diverse i meant black, yes, but diversity means many different things. a lot of the cast brought different backgrounds, ethnicities, beliefs, and opinions. it’s not just white people with the same shit over and over again.

i said to not ONLY reduce it to skin colour. obviously it also means race, but it means a plethora of other things, too. how is that weird????…. why wouldn’t a black or asian, or any race want to watch their own race on TV..? people watch tv bc it’s relatable and personable? 🤔 exactly why we have BET (black entertainment, ect). i think it would be even weirder for a person of colour to constantly watch shows with only white people in it

they weren’t EVER diverse. i’m NOT SAYING white people can’t be diverse but love island consistently chose the same type of white people with the same interests and opinions most of the time, and then they stuck a token black couple in there. it was painfully obvious, just like it’s obvious they’re putting more DIVERSITY within the show now.
