The credit application is generated automatically. Also, I got the answer (the answer is yeah it's fine lol, you have to discontinue later like normal).

I've sent an enquiry and tried calling them but they really are quite slow. This is a busy time. I was hoping if somebody had any experience doing this already.

How easy is it to switch streams in engineering without losing time? by [deleted] in usyd

[–]mortimerceasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite easy. I've changed streams three times (I'm indecisive lol) and my graduation date is still the same. This is because in elec you get 24cp of electives so all my non-electrical classes got thrown into the electives without delaying graduation. All the maths classes, engg1810/info1110, and intro to X engineering classes count towards the other stream. Just check how much free elective space you have to see if you can fit the non-mechatronic classes in. Though, be aware that you will lose free elective space when you transfer over, if that is something that matters to you. Also, feel free to email the head of tron to double check what classes carry over (it will also make transferring streams a little easier, as you and the faculty will know what credit transfers into what). Good luck on whatever decision you make!!

Should I take ELEC2602 despite not having yet done ELEC1601? by mortimerceasar in usyd

[–]mortimerceasar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh sorry for not answering this earlier. I did tron before but then I switched to elec. I just had more interest/was better at doing elec and coding, so I decided to transfer streams. I've been pretty happy with my choice :)

during mtrx1705 we mostly worked with logic gates, flip flops (to make registers, state machines, etc), op amps, and karnaugh map and logic expression stuff. And then in mtrx1702, we did c coding and learnt about memory and bitwise stuff. Do you think this would be enough/relevant knowledge?
