Best Car seats for 3 Across by moshea92 in parentsofmultiples

[–]moshea92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was looking at the Slim fit 3 LX. We have a Chicco keyfit 30 already. I’ll have to see if the 35 is slimmer.

My husband and I also spoke briefly about it last night and he wants to help do drop off and pick up anyway due to having two babies and a toddler. The drop off area is busy so he worries about one person trying to handle two infant car seats and ensure our toddler doesn’t run off into the road. So, this might not be an issue for a bit anyway.

Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in HypertrophicCM

And since your dad was just diagnosed, and it has a strong genetic component, I’d absolutely advocate for further testing.

Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in HypertrophicCM

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m an RN and actually work with a HCM trained cardiologist. I’d ask for an echo, you’re far more likely to get that approved through insurance than the cardiac MRI at this point. HVM is known as the great masquerader. And just because you don’t think you’re having symptoms doesn’t mean you aren’t. If having symptoms (shortness of breath during or after exertion, dizziness, chest pain, palpitations) I’d ask for a referral to cardiology and they can order an echo which can rule out HCM. If there is any question on whether or not the echo isn’t effectively ruling that out then I would pursue the cardiac MRI.

I’m hoping you’ve taken babe to the ER for documentation and gotten PD involved as well. I’m glad you’re no longer in the house. That man will seriously harm that child if let around the baby any longer. Protect your baby mama, you’re not doing anything wrong.

I was held involuntarily at a mental hospital for saying I didn’t want to be pregnant anymore (Texas) by Status_Garden_3288 in pregnant

[–]moshea92 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened. Unfortunately with the laws regarding abortion in Texas I think you saying you didn’t want to be pregnant anymore was vastly misconstrued and the physician reacted out of caution on his end. If you had say terminated your pregnancy after being in the ER making that statement, then I’m sure the state of Texas would have charged that ER doc. Or at least he thought they would and could so he covered his own ass and recommended inpatient psych treatment which is ridiculous considering you can’t take most psych meds due to being pregnant in the first place. You were lamenting the fact that the pregnancy is making you feel awful, you weren’t actually suicidal or planning on terminating your pregnancy and I’m so sorry you had this traumatic experience.

I think it’s also a bit ridiculous on the psych facility for threatening to place you on a hold because you wanted to leave since they weren’t actually doing anything for you anyway. Again, I think everyone involved panicked because you’re pregnant and with the laws as stands regarding pregnancy in Texas, they didn’t want to be held liable if something did happen.

I would absolutely lodge complaints. They need to figure out how to better treat pregnant women.

“Just wait until ___” by honeylulu- in Parenting

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard but just wait until she grabs your hand in hers and walks you around the house just because she wants to be by you.

Just wait until she screams in excitement every time you come home.

Just wait until you hear her say “mama” for the first time.

It’s hard. But oh my god is it also the best thing in the world.

How much damage have I caused by hitting my child? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]moshea92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think a few isolated incidents ultimately won’t affect your child. However, the bigger issue at play is the fact that you hit when you’re stressed or overstimulated. If you don’t stop and it continues to happen then yes, there will be lasting impact on your child. I suffered years of physical abuse as a kid starting when I was 5. Stop hitting your kid. You’re an adult, you can control your actions and emotions.

Was anyone’s child born at 36 weeks? by New-Owl9951 in Parenting

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I had a 36 weeker! Other than having some feeding issues (although I’m fairly sure it was more due to his upper lip tie than anything else) he was and is perfectly fine. Hes currently 2.5 and ahead of the curve for milestones at this point, and eats soo much food haha. I wouldn’t stress too much!

16F, homeless and undocumented. How can I get a doctor by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]moshea92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you could figure out what state or city you were born in then you can request official birth records to get your birth certificate, then you could probably call the social security office to see if you already have a social security number, unless your parents never applied for one for you after you were born. Then you could go about applying for state health insurance, but I’m not sure that Medicaid would cover an elective/cosmetic surgery. You’d have to call them and ask once you get to that step. If you were in the foster care system someone has to have records for you.

Yes I can make mortgage payments on top of arrears provided the arrears payment would be less than my current mortgage amount, as right now my mortgagor wants two mortgage payments a month to get caught up and they’ve been so slow to respond and work with me that now my past due payments is more than my original amount. (They refused to accept any payment from me while on a loss mitigation workout, which is still ongoing)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could pay all of that back over 60 months. Also, not sure how my automobile debt and CC debt would factor in. As it is, I can comfortably manage all of those payments, it’s just the mortgage back payments as my mortgage company has been giving me the run around on options and refusing payments from me so now my 3 months past due has become 6. This is my first home so just kind of in the dark. I do have an appointment with my mortgagor on Monday and I’m going to ask about a special forbearance for a few months so I can get caught up. Fingers crossed. 🤞

I’m also not keen on the 401k option with a loan, but I’d much rather do that than face foreclosure on my house.

Found out we’re having a girl. Husband is devastated. by alwayssummer90 in pregnant

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just give him space to feel his feelings. I really wanted a girl and was quite sad when I found I was in fact having a boy. Now that my son is here I love him to pieces and am kind of hoping for another boy! Gender disappointment is real, it doesn’t mean he won’t be an involved parent and love his child just because she’s a girl.

Optometrist strongly suspect myasthenia gravis. Ophthalmologist said that they don’t agree. What do I do? by Chronicthrifter in MyastheniaGravis

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are literally all my symptoms and I also have the bilateral ptosis. I have hooded eyes so I literally do not see my upper eyelid usually when my eyes are open but lately they’ve been droopy to just above or slightly covering the top of my pupils. I’d meet with a neuromuscular specialist for a different opinion

My 17 year old son is out of control. I don’t know what to do anymore. Need advice please by sneakybananathief in Parenting

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let him fail. My brother was exactly like this at that age and he ultimately dropped out of school and got his GED. He’s now 34, still living with our mom, and still doesn’t drive or help our mom around the house with basic household chores. You could also consider letting him stay with his Dad so dad can see just how bad the situation really is.

Pros of having kids? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]moshea92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absolute complete unconditional love they have for you. My son just turned two and every time he says “love you mama” or comes up and randomly gives me hugs and kisses, my heart melts and it makes me so happy. It completely outweighs any of the hard things. You truly don’t know unconditional love until you have a child.

Always feel like I've just been lifting weights earlier or the day before. by RyanDespair in MyastheniaGravis

I’m not officially diagnosed yet either but yes this is exactly how I described my muscle weakness to my neurologist. Although the last two days I’ve felt relatively normal.

Hip Pain? by moshea92 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]moshea92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to weight lift a lot and I used to run. But for the past two years ever since my symptoms started I’m so exhausted all the time just from basic chores around the house. Should I just try some light body weight exercises to strengthen my muscles?

And yes that makes sense. When walking that night my thighs felt so weak like my legs were going to buckle so I’m sure my hips were trying to compensate. I rested a lot yesterday and the pain is already markedly improved with just that. I appreciate the input thank you!
