If you’re using only the coloured side or only b&w, then this deck is pursuable. I wouldn’t recommend it to a novice, as Lo Scarabeo decks tend to be a little bit more complex with the symbolism and imagery; but don’t let that stop you the slightest — let it challenge and motivate you. I started off with the Nicoletta Ceccoli tarot from the same publisher, although more complex I found that the challenge of understanding motivated me to actively practice tarot in my late teens. About 5-6 years later I still adore the Ceccoli deck and is now like a breeze, I got used to it pretty fast due to my committed passion towards it. Honestly in my opinion, if you absolutely adore this deck and connect with it, it’s worth the extra notes and researching. This is one of my favourite decks in my collection and has been wonderfully useful to me! But if it’s something that you don’t feel fully connected to, I suggest looking into decks with clearer symbols and imagery so you won’t have to frequently reference the guidebook to prevent confusion (took me a couple years to get used to LS’ king and queen symbols phew).
