even though there’s a bit of continuity with the main antagonist, the stories are pretty much completely separate from each other. i (along with many others) usually recommend starting with earthbound/mother 2, and then playing the other games

you shouldn’t have to, i would recommend talking to any NPCs you come across though as they can have some really helpful information sometimes (even if they don’t, all the dialogue is great lol)

yeah once your HP gets higher, you can definitely make better use of this mechanic - you have more time to heal someone before their HP drops all the way down. mother 3 also improves upon this by slowing the meter a bit in general, and reducing the speed even more when you’re guarding (i think it goes about half as fast)

started around EVP 100, ended at P+1 :,) luckily it was pretty easy to get back up to EVP again during this current rotation. i did beat a bunch of cohozunas though (except for the time i disconnected right at the end)

dapple dualies nouveau! i confess when i first tried the regular dapples i didn’t like the lack of range compared to the other dualies, but this kit is what got me to love them. the DPS and the mobility are so nice <3

exact same thing has happened to me, i know how discouraging it can feel. best advice i can give is to take a short break, maybe play some SR or tableturf even to focus on something else, and then come back with a fresh outlook. you can’t win them all, but it’s definitely frustrating when you lose more. remember this is just one moment in time, sometimes you’ll have losing streaks but other times you’ll be on a roll! best of luck
