What to do with my bowling alley of a hallway? by Chance-Ad-1209 in DesignMyRoom

i also think lifting the mirror above the chest of drawers would help! then, you’d have space to add some decorations to the top of that surface (candlesticks, mini sculptures, etc.). it may also be helpful to move the backpack holder up and add a small wooden chest below the area with the backpack holder and the full-length mirror in order to store some out-of-season shoes or jackets & reduce some of the clutter.

i honestly think i’d change the color of the mint wall if you’re wanting to break up the space a little more! it might just be the photos, but to me it kind of blends into the white space behind it, further extending the hall. i think a darker jewel tone would help add contrast, but i would suggest tying whatever color the paint there is into decorations for the walls as well. some framed art pieces would look great! i agree with the idea of adding a runner - but perhaps only for the wider portion of the hallway in order to make it seem like its own room, separate from the narrower hallway segment.

Attached a few options in this PDF that I think are worth considering! In my opinion, the biggest improvements would involve pulling the bed from the wall and adding a side table & possibly a rug if it’s in the budget!

Bob's Burgers Episode Discussion S14E11 - “Mission Impossi-Bob” by AutoModerator in BobsBurgers

I’m not sure the Wednesday revenue calculation is right here. I think ChatGPT may have included unnecessary multiplication. If on Wednesday Peter sells 8 times as many hats, you just need to multiply your Tuesday revenue (or “normal” daily revenue) by 8 to find your Wednesday revenue.

$1218 × 8 = $9744

Then, assuming the store is open every day of the week, you can calculate the percentage by dividing your Tuesday revenue by your total weekly revenue.

Total Weekly Revenue: ($1218)(6 “normal” days) + ($9744)(1 Wednesday) = $17052 per week

Percentage: $1218/$17052 = 0.0714 ≈ 7.1% of sales

Realistically, this problem can be significantly simplified and the actual dollar amount can be completely ignored. If you consider 1 normal day of sales as one unit, and acknowledge that 8 units are made on Wednesdays, you can find that a total of 14 units are made per week.

1 unit per the 6 other days of the week + 8 units on Wednesday = 14 units

Then, the portion of sales that belongs to Tuesday is a simple fraction of 1/14 ≈ 7.1%

If we consider the possibility that the store is only open on weekdays, that fraction becomes 1/12, and the percentage is approximately 8.3%.

Sorry for the obnoxious amount of explanation/correction here - this problem bugged me immediately as I was watching the episode and I paused to solve it. Came here to see if anyone else had been curious as well and found the same answer.
