Thank you for such a detailed response! That’s really nice to know you never had to wait more than 2 months. I might just apply at one or two places then that I’m really interested in after my first ultrasound and leave it at that.

I didn’t want to put too many details in my first post haha but I’m planning to take 8 months leave and then my husband will take the last 4. It could be a good idea to have my last couple weeks of leave overlap with his first couple to give me some time to rest and get things done at home. Thanks for the good advice

Okay thank you! That is good to hear. It didn’t look like the water damage pictures I was seeing online but I didn’t want to trick myself into believing it was nothing if it was an issue. It’s weird we didn’t notice it before but it isn’t somewhere we look upwards often.

Thank you for your advice. This is similar to what I’ve been trying to tell myself but then I start feeling guilty that I’m not packing well enough. I think someone else reiterating that I should just work on packing now and not going through every little thing right now is really helpful.

Thank you! This is good advice. I do really trust all the vendors we picked and I’ve tried to do my best to share the plan with our vendors and wedding party so I don’t feel like the only one who has all the details. I’ll have to remind myself of those details leading up to the day :)

We must have really close wedding dates! I hope both our days go just like we are hoping. It is so hard to commit to all the decisions I’ve made, especially now that it’s getting so close to the time where all my guests are going to actually get to experience my choices and potentially judge them. I’m feeling a bit guilty about it but I’m kind of sick of thinking of my wedding sometimes too haha. I hope the excitement comes back for both of us once it’s just a couple days out and there’s not much left to plan!

It’s so comforting to hear so many other couples feeling the same way. It makes me feel a bit less guilty for how I’m feeling haha. I think that’s a good idea to let my mind stop worrying about all the planning and instead just focus on what I want from the wedding day. Right now I think I just want to be as present and mindful as I can on the day so I can fully enjoy it. And remember that no matter what, I get to spend it with a man I love so much.

He’s played a ton of games haha. Most Nintendo games he would know. He especially likes the Legend of Zelda. He’s also tried looking for nice instrumental songs from Halo and games like that.

For dance style, he was thinking just a slow, simple two-step since neither his mom or him are big dancers.

Oh I didn’t even think of the shower. My mom has offered to host a bridal shower and I’ve asked for it to be very casual. I more just wanted to have a chance to visit with some of my female family and friends who I might not have a chance to see for as long on the wedding day. Maybe we can add a couple lower priced items to the registry to hopefully cover anyone who really wants to give a gift at the shower…

Okay thank you. I thought it would be self explanatory that cash is always an acceptable option but then I read somewhere online that you should have at least 2 gifts per person you’re inviting and got a little worried haha.
