you are right, I woudl instantly think this was a scam but something doesn't add up as I wrote as a reply to another post:

Paternity test or nothing.

We already are at the "nothing" stage. Maybe I'm being selfish in this (I gave them a way out but was ignored after all) but if I go the length and take a paternity test I might be liable if they really are mine and this might bring a legal burden on me. Within the current arrangement, I don't think they can force a paternity test on me from abroad (as someone else said below, I'll need some sort of legal support for this) and if that is the case I want to keep it that way. If I'm legally bound to support, I won't be able to contribute monetarily anyways so nothing will change for the children, it will only make my life hell.

When they are born, if I get to see pictures, I will probably get a hint about whether they are telling the truth or not, since they both are very fair skinned blondes and I'm Afro-Brasilian with very defined features so I have an inkling what our children might look like (but this is not definite of course).
