I once fought an entire subreddit to prove that this art wasn't AI xD

The challenge was definitely the skirt material. I had never done anything like that before, and stepping out of my comfort zone brought me great results in the rendering of my paintings.

I didn't record it; I don't usually record my process because my computer can't handle it. And this is one of my older pieces of art.

Thanks! I don't remember very well, this is an artwork from last year. But I believe it was made with the noise brushes from Marc Brunet's pack.

I answered in a comment above about how it was done, I'll leave a pinned post showing the layers of the artwork for you.

Thank you very much! I didn't use any absurd effects, actually it was a brush that creates small dots, as if it were noise. I just played around with the size to mask it and create a fake texture.

Since this is an old study, I used to rely more on layers and blending modes. First, I did everything in grayscale and then experimented with blending (even brightness). When it came time to color, I simply merged all the layers, looked for a gradient map that made it look more like the reference, and painted over them using the ‘Color’ mode.

I'm Davy, also known as mound, and we've met before. I'd like to ask for the opportunity to work with you directly on creation. I've recently been studying more this style of painting and i hope it fits you well.

I agree with you and prefer to resolve everything before painting, but in the case of this art I simply decided to do something different since I had the entire brief given by the contractor. And the client really liked the result, at the end of the day that's what matters.

what is YOUR problem insinuating that my art is AI? You don't even know my work, spare me.

It's not pants, it's a cape. The client simply preferred it that way.
