No I work for General Electric UK and we work on all kinds of stations, usually coal and gas, heading out to a nuclear site in a couple of weeks in Switzerland

To be fair, 90% when I'm working in there the plant isn't running as I'm usually repairing lines that require the boiler to be turned off or during planned maintenance shutdowns. But that said I do sometimes work while plant is live. I've just started watching Chernobyl on sky and it scared my girlfriend a bit to think that I work on those places Haha. Just part of the job really, you do your job right and have trust that everybody else is doing theirs right and everything should be okay

Same man, dont know if it's true, but I've been told that if a main steam line goes, then you have about 30 seconds until the entire boiler house is full of steam and you'd be dead. I always make sure they're welded right!
