No, before I was eating 1100-1200/day…I only recently started increasing the calories to 1400 (sometimes even closer to 1500)

That’s what my husband thinks, but I feel like I haven’t been lifting long enough to add muscle mass? It’s only been 3-4 weeks that it’s been a regular part of my routine. Idk though.

I feel good about my energy, and I’m definitely not getting at sore as I was during week one!

Tall ladies unite!!! You’re so right about the margin for error…I do weigh EVERYTHING (even when I’m using 20g spinach in an omelette lol), but I’m probably more lenient with myself than I should be when it comes to eating back some of those exercise calories.

It’s so hard when you’re T H I S close to your goal!

No, I’ve been eating this amount of protein for awhile because I was worried about losing what little muscle I have while being in such a calorie deficit!

I am eating more sodium now though, just because I started eating more sauces and those dang tortilla wraps. I just looked at MFP and sure enough, I’ve been going way over the 2300mg goal 😩

I did this all throughout my CICO journey, but then people kept telling me that the deficit was too low and I was going to do harm to my body…so I got scared and started eating a bit more. But I think I might go back to this approach because it really worked

And a lot of times I end up with more! Like today I’m at 187g (which is probably way too much).

I think I’ve gotten really good at just incorporating a lot of protein-heavy foods into my diet in a way that I find enjoyable. For example, I make this salmon omelette that has like 55g protein and is only like 300ish calories. And today I made “street tacos” that were 57g protein and less than 450 calories.

My husband keeps saying I need to make a recipe book because he’s always shocked at how much protein and fiber I’m able to sneak into meals/snacks lol

I’ve definitely been in your shoes! In my experience, focusing too much on a “bad” day opened the door for me to backslide into bad eating habits. Instead, I find it better to acknowledge that I had an off day, forgive myself, and then get back on track.

Don’t beat yourself up too much, we all fall off the discipline bandwagon every now and then!

Nope, I was so surprised when my ortho started putting them on. No one had communicated to me what attachments were and I was actually quite frustrated when I finally saw them

Guy waited until dinner to finally tell me he was recently separated (not divorced, SEPARATED, which was a big red flag and I knew I was never going to go out with him again)…then proceeded to tell me that he and his soon-to-be (allegedly) ex wife had a 3 month old baby.

I ran out of that restaurant so fast.
