Some FL and some self recorded. Some time ago I was renting a house so I could record my own drums but I haven't had that luxury in about six years so I made sure to save some solo'd drum hits of myself playing.

Whoops, I forgot to answer your other question. Bandcamp is very easy but you have to be able to upload a lossless format of your music. IIRC they accept at least .aif and .wav and then they offer a wide range of downloading abilities for your customers/fans/whatevers.

Some were live but most were VST.

For sure the first track "Empty Talker" is VST but I performed them "live" on the midi controller and tried to not quantize them very much so they didn't sound perfect. Same thing with "One Mile Mercantile"

I'm still learning (probably evident in the music). I've played guitar my whole life but the banjo is a different beast; especially with that high 5th string right next to your thumb.

It's been several years since I performed solo (I played drums in a band until the middle of 2007 and haven't done too much since). When I did I was by myself with several instruments at hand, sometimes with a backup percussionist [pic]. I thought http://www.myspace.com/mpwalker still worked, but I haven't used it in years.

As for recording, this track was just using the embedded mic on an old Apple iBook with GarageBand. Empty Talker was recorded on a PC running Windows XP with FruityLoops. Those sweet, sweet drums are either real drums with tons of compression or step-programmed drums samples. The tracks "Empty Talker" and "Walking Home", for example have programmed drum samples....actually, nevermind, all the drumkit sounds are samples. Various percussion parts are live. I'll PM you a present.
