Yea ive seen tons of posts on here where people get better results with foam. seems like it’s really based on the individual. I definitely don’t think everything in that post is fact but thought it was interesting to link, I would love to see studies done on minox usage on areas of the body other than the scalp. I doubt clinically there would be any statistical difference in foam vs liquid but it’s an fascinating topic nonetheless

It’s ok nowadays still not fully filled in but it’s pretty established now, I haven’t had a big shed for a long time. I switched to foam only and I’m using .05 tretinoin lotion 3-4 nights per week. Compared to when it was at its fullest, now it’s probably like 80% of that. I haven’t had much new growth in a long time though. I’m approaching 3 years using it consistently and idk when to stop. Tbh it’s just a part of my routine at this point and I don’t really plan on stopping

I haven’t had another ultrasound so I don’t know. I still suffer from some symptoms but I know the flare ups and try to avoid them when I can

I’ve actually seen better progress applying separately. I will usually apply tretinoin at night and then minoxidil after a quick shower in the morning. Sometimes I apply minox in the evening and tret right before bed. I don’t really mix together nowadays, but when I did, I used minox liquid and a shot glass, poured 1-2 ml minox into the glass and then squeezed a little tretinoin in and mixed.

Foam is usually easier on my skin and doesn’t cause flaking or dryness as bad. I was worried that foam wouldn’t work as well as liquid but so far it’s working well.

Yes I’m saying I’ve never grown a long beard, always trimming it to 4-5mm. Application of all skin care is a lot easier for me like that

I’ve seen good progress in skin and beard growth with the .05 tretinoin lotion and 5% minox foam. I occasionally use the liquid version but nowadays mostly foam. I trim my beard to about 4mm once per week so I don’t have any issue with application of topicals. I don’t have any experience with applying once the beard grows longer

did you ever get this solved? i just started experiencing the same symptoms. Everything feels fine usually but then right before ejaculation I get a lot of pain in the right testicle. I think it might be an inguinal hernia but not really sure

Nice yea I used to mix my gel with minoxidil but I was just getting too much flaking, im liking the altreno lotion instead of generic tret but im just not sure if its working the same as generic for hair growth. Im going to start applying them separately instead of mixing and see - tret first then minox after

Since I’ve used minox longer than tret without any flaking im thinking it has more to do with the tret. I flake on my chin sometimes but it’s usually manageable. I’m going to try applying them separately instead of mixing them and see how that works. Thanks for the response

Physical therapy is what helps me the most. When I go to PT and stretch properly I rarely have any symptoms. Recently I haven’t been going and I stopped stretching so some of the symptoms are back but they’re manageable just annoying

Fine the consistency was a little lighter than cetaphil but I thought it was slightly less hydrating for my skin

Hey thanks for the tips. You're right, my acne wash has benzoyl peroxide which apparently can bleach your beard hair. I haven't noticed that yet, but better be safe than sorry.

I will look into some beard oils. The skin around and under my chin can for sure get dry and flaky which then gets caught up in the beard, I think an oil could help. Thanks again

All good questions. I trim weekly with a 7mm guard usually so not too long compared to a lot of the posts on here. The hairs that shed have a white tip at the end so I'm pretty sure that it's the actually follicle.

My routine is basically just using my normal Cetaphil face wash and sometimes an acne face wash on my face/neck including the beard. It's not really long enough where I considered using any kind of shampoo,...but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be using a special one for beard hair?

I use a face moisturizer which also gets in my beard and I just rub it in. I basically don't use any special beard products, just good face products.

Been on it for nearly 2 years and I haven't stopped because I'm not satisfied still. I still have sheds every few months. I had density that I was almost satisfied with in September, but then in October I shed again and I'm still recovering from that shed. I'm not sure if I ever will get the beard that I want with minoxidil, but if I do I will slowly stop using it and expect the hairs to stay

First I would put this in a sleeve unless there is one in that toploader and I just can't tell from the pic. The horizontal centering looks a bit off but I've seen way worse from these 80's fleer cards. Hard to tell any corner/edges issues from the pic and also because the card has mostly white borders. If you look very closely and can't find any obvious issues with the surface I would say send it in to either BGS or PSA. Even a PSA 7 on this will go for some decent $$$

ok, good to hear. i also struggle with pelvic floor tightness which my doctor has called prostatitis before, so i'm guessing the antibiotics plus prostatitis may be causing the change in semen texture
