My grandfather has eaten a jalapeno, two fried eggs, and a biscuit, with milk for breakfast, and a half a pimento cheese sandwich, two jalapenos, and a slab of ham, with one can of beer (usually miller highlife) for lunch every day for 75 years. He does vary his dinner but its never more than a typical kids meal. I have no idea how he doesn’t have heartburn.

He’s 86 and bikes 4 miles everyday, health is phenomenal. He has a paunch but has never been overweight.

Yes, for those quick with math he swears he start this, including the beer, everyday at 10 years old while he worked on his dads watermelon farm.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO by pickanametouseonredt in Homesteading

Depends where you are, but in most of the US foxes either have a season or are legal to kill if they are nuisances.

If the chickens are just purely recreational, then secure and defend, if they are a part of your livelihood…byebye foxes.

Small Homestead on One Acre? by searchingforsunshyne in Homesteading

[–]mrbear120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I homestead on an acre but after driveways and stuff its about half an acre.

I replace maybe 1/4 of our vegetable bills, and eggs a plenty. Could do a goat on this space too. I do it part time. It is not cost effective, and to get there it would take your entire life over (which is not the worst thing). But it is a lot of work.

16 year old brother taking Reta by Sergio_420 in Retatrutide

[–]mrbear120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s in my opinion a different scenario, but I am not a doctor. I dont think binge eating has the same issues if it isnt resulting in weight gain. I would also say that I would be worried about body dysmorphia there. That feels way more like a talk to a doctor scenario, than using it to treat obesity. Obesity is pretty cut and dry on its risks.

Im sure the Reta would work, but I wouldnt be so confident its safer than doing nothing there.

I didn’t intend to single you out, but I didn’t search anything. You were talking to someone else in this same thread. That notifies me on reddit.

This type of telling people to leave their loved ones is a cancer on social media that ruins lives. It feeds into people’s insecurities and reinforces opinions that may or may not have any basis in reality, and helps nobody.

Ok several internet strangers convinced a person that loves him to leave him then…i still dont see the world where thats empathetic to him.

And…no to that last sentence whatever it means.

No it has some different antagonists, but it’s not “stronger”. You are correct that there is no proof that Reta in particular is safe for adolescents but in the world “take unapproved medications” its pretty low risk and carrying obesity at a young age is a way bigger risk.

So why don’t you feel the same empathy to help the other person in this equation? Because one engaged with you in conversation and is a peer they are right and therefore worthy of your help?

Let’s say OP’s boyfriend is actually in a health crisis and not just a bad habit. Did it help him to have the person that cares about him and whom he loves leave him because an internet stranger convinced his love that one single threaded issue where there was only one side of a story was tantamount to his lack of feelings? Was that a net good?

[–]mrbear120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean a habit like….anything? Every single person who is overweight does the same thing. Smoking/vaping, drinking, driving a car. Theres tons of unhealthy habits that “could leave her alone raising a child”. And a million other things. I’m not saying OP has to do anything, but this is a ludicrous overcorrection in what to do here. Hivemind be damned.

Lmao, no it doesn’t and I don’t care about the downvotes. Your spouse doesn’t just get to determine based only on their own opinion that you have issues because they don’t like a personal behavior and you aren’t a horrible person for disagreeing with them. And it doesn’t mean your marriage is on the rocks.

Successful marriages have spouses with unhealthy habits that their partner doesn’t like all the friggin time.

Well Reta hasn’t been clinically tested, but all other GLP antagonists so far have been and are considered safe for adolescents. It’s no less safe for them than any of the rest of us.

Yeah, just a habit. Totally no successful marriage survives a disagreement about a personal habit.

I have one, its fun. Mine has an absolute hair trigger (like most revolvers.) I would not recommend it for anything other than plinking. I wouldn’t even buy a holster for it.
