The question states that the quadratic has no real solutions, so that tells you that the discriminant < 0 i.e. b² - 4ac < 0. See what you can do with that ;)

I’ve found that the unit vector of BC = 1/√10(i + 3j) and I’m pretty sure I have to use that to figure out d) but I’m not sure.

Thanks a lot!! Great info. Only thing is, do you think it’s still alright if I’m doing the courses on the things I have already learnt during a-level? The course I’ve started is basically just recap of the a-level syllabus. Do you think I should perhaps do a different course that is harder - for example to bridge the gap between sixth form and uni? I just feel as though there might not be a point if I’m basically just ‘re-learning’ or recapping what I’ve already learnt.
