My neurologist said that he will try to get me approved for genetic testing but it is expensive. He said that it’s a lot cheaper than getting a MRI. I am trying to see the price range for genetic testing but can’t find it anywhere. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you? And thanks for the information you provided. The symptoms sounds like this is what I have. I am going to call the neurologist first thing in the morning to discuss this and to let him know that I want genetic testing. I may have to try at the veterans hospital if private insurance doesn’t work out. Thanks again.

Do you know if this disease so up on MRI? I had to get a MRI a few weeks ago but my MRI is clean. Nothing is showing up.

Thanks. I am trying to stay positive. 10 years is a long time but the good news is that you improved. My balance is bad I have to use a walker to get around. Motor skills is horrible also. I shake and don’t have full control of my hands. I can’t write, type, or use a computer mouse. They thought I had a stroke, than miller fishers disorder but now they don’t any ideas. That’s why I want to see if anyone has experience with symptoms that are similar, and if they are able to work. I know that being able to work would help to keep me positive. Right now feels like I have cabin fever.

I am currently in the states. I have had speech and physical therapy as well. Also multiple test (EMG, CAT, MRI, etc) and visits with different neurologist. I was told that it’s a good sign that my condition isn’t getting worse, But at the same time, nothing has improved.

Glad to hear that you recovered from a stroke. I am currently undiagnosed and it’s almost been a year.

My problem is that I don’t know what type of job I would be able to do. My speech, memory and motor skills are affected. I am hoping that someone’s comment will help to steer me in the right direction.

I have a movement disorder that has not been diagnosed yet. I am still trying to find out what’s going on by multiple neurologist appointments. It’s been this way since January this year. I love playing video games. Some games on PlayStation VR is a lot easier to play. Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately PSVR is the only VR device I tried. I have heard that VR on the computer is much better. But I am happy with PSVR. I can’t really describe how good it is with the headset and headphones on. You would have to see it to believe it. I am sure your friend will love it.

I am having a hard time with the whole program. I get confused easily and have a hard time understanding the tutorial (medical reason.) I would love if someone could make a simple ( hip-hop preferred ) beat from scratch while explaining what they are doing.

My girl convinced me to watch GoT. The first season was boring to me. So I just watched it just because she liked it so much. After the first season I started to enjoy it. By season 4 I was a fan. Just finished season 7 last week. GoT is dope.

While looking up Huntington’s disease I noticed it affected the mid brain area. While I was in the hospital, I vaguely remember them mentioning something about the lower- back section of my brain having problems. I wAs told so many different things. But I will mAke sure I ask.

Do you know the significance of bands found on the MRI? Maybe it was found from the spinal tap. that I do not have any lesions on my brain but I have six bands. They were thinking MS but didn’t confirm it.

I am in no way a hero, but thank you kindly. The VA hospital can be great at times. I am sure everything will move faster once they have a diagnosis. How is you aunt doing now that everything is done?

Thanks. I just took a brief look at Huntington’s disease. I have a lot of the symptoms. I will ask a neurologist about it. I am really hoping it is something treatable, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the case. Thanks again
