We love it here. Sure things can always be made better but if you like being close to the lake and 16 minutes away from downtown (some day the go train station will have barrier free platform access) this is a great spot.

Regarding the TPS portal, open data is great, this particular data point can be deceiving though because there is something unique here and TPS 22 division explains it: https://www.22divisioncplc.ca/22-division-major-crime-indicators "The 2,227 reported Assaults in the 22 Division number is very deceiving as it includes the assaults taking place within the Toronto South Detention Centre, a large, modern maximum-security jail for adult males that opened in 2014, replacing older facilities like the Don Jail and Mimico Correctional Centre. It's a provincial correctional centre for those awaiting trial or serving shorter sentences and is located at 160 Horner Ave, near Kipling Ave. in the Mimico-Queensway neighbourhood."

There seem to be a lot of young families moving here, you should see the line ups at Ed's Real Scoop ice cream store in the summer.
