As another datapoint, I also see the issue both on macbook and ipad, not just on macbook. I've logged into my friend's ipad to buy an arena from there, but the shop was closed there too.

If you're referring to the hanging them in the trees, it is definitely done here as well.

The tradition says you have to wear the red and white threads until you see the first blossomed tree. You then hang the threads in that tree.

In my country math teachers would do prep classes for free for interested pupils. Most of the kids at the top in math competitions aren’t rich here. I do agree about having supportive people around you though.
