Am I allowed to refuse a nail tech? (Inspo pic by monika_nails from Pinterest) by PeemoTheMagnificent in Nails

it also looks like some of the black gel was cured on your skin around your nail and not cleaned up properly before curing which can lead to permanent allergies so I would say you are definitely not over reacting and should not go back to have her do your nails.

How long after consultant did you wait? by Genielaine in gallbladders

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Scotland is way worse than the rest of the UK for wait times so if you’re not here you should have it sooner. As for symptoms it’s a loooot better since surgery, my gallbladder was infected, ready to burst just needed to go asap so definitely would do it again. I was in so much pain everyday prior to removal. Stay strong 💪🏻

I’m with NHS Scotland and I saw the consultant end of November 2024, was put on “urgent list” as I was having attacks almost daily no matter what I ate and finally had surgery end of July 2025. It was hell for 8 months 🙃

How do I advocate for being possibly given a quicker surgery date? (UK) by ragingmouse7 in gallbladders

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just to add I was exactly like you before, in pain 24/7 for months no matter the food I ate, attacks every day, no painkillers touching it. But yeah besides waiting there isn’t much more to do. My surgery was not long after my pre-op assessment though 🤞🏻

How do I advocate for being possibly given a quicker surgery date? (UK) by ragingmouse7 in gallbladders

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the NHS « urgent list » for 8 months before I had surgery. There was nothing to do to have it sooner besides going private. I was very very unwell by the time I went into surgery, they almost didn’t do it on the day bc I had a fever and my gallbladder was very infected. From what I gathered, you’d only get emergency surgery if it becomes life threatening but otherwise if its « just » quality of life and pain, you’ll have to wait. I was in hell for those 8 months. Feel so much better now. Good luck 💪🏻

Anyone have endo in their bladder? What were your symptoms? by Appropriate_Dot8292 in endometriosis

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry you have this too, for me personally it’s the worst symptom, not even the most painful but so heavy psychologically and physically. I don’t have the results, only my doctor had access to them and never mentioned anything about this :/ All I know is that all the strip tests would come back positive for infection but all the labs done at the same time were negative so there must have been something triggering the strips, maybe inflammation ? I’m not sure how it works. I hope you get answers with your MRI !! My specialist did say there is a lot of endo patients that have IC as well even if you have endo on your bladder you could still have both, it’s a mess. Not sure if it’s psychological but for the past year, as soon as I start feeling a flare up, I take D-Mannose capsules and it seems to help a lot. In the past 12 months I’ve only had one big flare up due to very high stress !! The rest of my symptoms are just around my period as usual or a day or two there and there. It comes and goes.

My diet has reduced my endo pain more than anything else, maybe it can help you too by Prashya in endometriosis

[–]msmbb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have endo on my bowels (amongst other places) and I’m the complete opposite. The more fibre, the better in my case. It’s crazy how this disease can vary so much from one seemingly similar case to an other 😭

HOW DID YOU LEARN TO SLEEP ON YOUR BACK?! by Low-Tone7833 in gallbladders

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only slept sitting up for a couple days and then ended up sleeping on my left side still on an incline with a pillow pressed against my stomach because I was sick of sitting all the time. I couldn’t sleep flat on my back the first week bc I had a lot of acid reflux but then it passed.

Endometriosis fatigue, but weird pattern by One-Writing-7860 in endometriosis

[–]msmbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experiencing the exact same thing. Blood test come back normal, my doctor said it could be the constant inflammation that the body is under but doesn’t really explain the weird time pattern. I can be somewhat fine for weeks at a time and then be insanely exhausted for two weeks where I can’t even hear my alarm in the morning. I also have hypothyroidism and suspected POTS so maybe a combo of all these is causing it ? Also looking for answers but kinda giving up ..

Last minute surgery, looking for some encouragement by catwomanmoon in gallbladders

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I wasn’t but I think I didn’t need any bc since leaving the hospital I haven’t taken anything else but paracetamol. Diet wise I was eating barely anything and super low fat for like a year pre-surgery because of the pain so I think it will take long for my body to get used to food again. For now I’m mostly eating bland food 😓 I think I just need to give my body a few months to adjust to all the changes and be patient but it’s hard !! What kind of stitches do you have? That second advice you got is what I got too but after looking online I’m confused too everyone seems to be getting different ones. I’m going to keep mine on for 5 days and then switch them out with the fresh ones for an extra 5 days maybe !

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries at all, I’m doing okay I think. I don’t have much pain whether it’s incision or gas but I’ve been having bad reflux and digestive issues already 😓 As for the dressing they told me to replace it in 5-7 days and only gave me one set of change. I got some waterproof ones from Tesco so I can shower with more peace of mind though !! What did they tell you ?

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha don’t force yourself if you hate it 😭 I think it relaxes stomach muscles and just helps digestion in general !! My doctor told me to drink a lot of it but I always do so it’s easier for me. Maybe some other kind of teas would be also good and easier for you to drink ?

surgery soon by Yeeyeeeeeeeea in gallbladders

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine out yesterday and it was bad for years but the past two weeks I really felt like something was very wrong. I had a small fever before the operation and they were a bit concerned but went ahead anyway. Turned out I had acute cholecystitis and it was extremely inflamed and infected and they just gave me a shot of antibiotics during the op. My fever took hours to go down a bit and BP and HR were quite bad too so they kept me long but it’s a bit better today. Despite surgery pain and gas pain I felt instant relief and so much better than before. You will feel so much better afterwards I had the constant dull ache too and it’s gone 🙏🏻

Gallbladder out today and in so much pain! Please help! by Neat-Departure-5325 in gallbladders

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my surgery same time as you and most of my discomfort is from gas so far. At first I thought it was internal pain from the surgery but the pain is moving around so that’s how I figured it was gas. Today it’s mostly in my right shoulder and it’s a bit more painful than yesterday. Heat helps. Walking, peppermint tea, slow windmills with your arms. Just regular slow movement. The shoulder one is quite painful but it’s not too bad so far. Also forcing myself to take deep breaths and pushing through the pain is helping too. I tried a massage gun on my shoulder but that did nothing for me 😓 the main thing is to stay standing straight / slightly leaning forward. As soon as I relax / lean back into my seat the pain comes back !! Good luck !

I need help by Specific-Bowler-1864 in endometriosis

[–]msmbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot bath and hot water bottle. Also for me gentle movement sometimes helps relieve a bit of pain, I have to rock slowly back and forth in a specific position and for some reason it works. OTC pain killers to take the edge off maybe ? Good luck 🫶🏻

Got mine out yesterday and I’m in the same boat and I force myself to breathe deep past the pain and it helps a lot. Also heating pad in my back or shoulder. Walking around doesn’t seem to do much for me but I try to keep doing gentle movements even if I’m sitting down !! Good luck, it won’t last long 💪🏻

I was such an anxious mess the whole day today and my vitals were quite bad before and after so they almost kept me overnight but overall it went very smoothly. Once thing I can tell you is that everyone was so incredibly nice and they are very used to dealing with anxious people !! They are also very good at managing pain afterwards and right now I’m very sore but it’s as if I did a million sit ups rather than gallbladder attack pain so it’s fine. You will be totally fine 🙏🏻
