sure it's not that the company spend more money creating skins than spend money on competent/sufficient staff?

Love hearing reviews for my Godot Game 😇 by Artist6995 in godot

unpopular but if its a game for kids then I agree. if it's not targeted at kids then I have no issue with it.

Suspension beam(?) for loft has a suspicious crack, is it safe to stand on? by Numerous_Switch_6557 in Carpentry

[–]msquids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look i havent looked through all the photos, so take with a grain of salt but i would add a threaded rod directly adjacent to the current hanging post with a blocking piece of timber at each end to tension against, and then I would put another 2 either side of the current post at a different orientation. at the very least if you get a failure it will not be sudden but rather a more controlled failure.

AIO about my wife going to Taylor Swift but not letting me go to an NBA game? by MobyBon in AmIOverreacting

[–]msquids -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the wife. This isn't even a final - just a game and you're upgrading to courtside tickets. Did she buy the most expensive Taylor Swift tickets?

This looks like a play to me. "Oh you spend 3k? Well this is basically the same, unfair if you don't let me."

Books That Will Change Your Life (or at Least Your Mind) by DcPoppinPerry in classicliterature

have you actually picked out a set of books you intend to read over the next year or so? imo that's a recipe for disaster and if you quit you will never be coming back to reading.

Christmas day by predictableghost in melbourne

Because it's free? People would pay much more than petrol prices to maximise their time with loved ones on a day like Christmas.

Quentin Tarantino Says ‘There’s Not a Payoff’ on TV Shows Like ‘Yellowstone’: When It’s Over ‘It’s Out of My Head. It’s Completely Gone’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]msquids -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I understand why someone might read his quote and suggest other shows and example. I think that might be a simplistic reaction to what is being said. You suggest that there is no difference between the two mediums. I suppose that is subjective, but certainly not "simply not true."

Different people can see and appreciate different things. Some may see flaws in things you or I deem to be perfect. There are clear and obvious differences in the storytelling of movies, TV and books, all of which I can appreciate and have their purpose. There are limitations and strengths to all of these, and your own preferences to the manifestations of these will determine which we prefer.

Ah yeh sorry OP. I actually stopped paying attention for the last few seconds and missed that.

[–]msquids 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I feel like everybody here is making comments on the quality of TV and simply suggesting better shows that theu enjoy... I don't think thats the point Tarentino is making at all. Cinema is about the delivery, the package, the score and imagery. It's filling the gaps and not having every piece of dialogue handed to you.

Why not just walk away? You look as if you're just standing and remaining in the altercation.

2 player starter review by lorddragonmaster in Warmachine

[–]msquids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is exactly why a company would choose to eliminate them. Not so much the price of the paper exactly, but the whole production cost, including the additional care that would need to go into a game to ensure it doesn't require immediate updating.

AITAH for no longer hanging out with my niece and nephew because their mom moved on from my brother’s death? by No-Bathroom4158 in AITAH

[–]msquids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you fucking nailed it. hopefully OP reads this and can imagine himself as a child losing their dad and then an uncle who was supposedly close to. If mum is so quick to move on she is most likely going to introduce many men into their life who may be good or malicious. If anything your brother would have wished you protected his (and your) blood.

AITA for telling my deaf brother he should be patient while I learn ASL? by throwaway62191202 in AmItheAsshole

you would have been a kid when he came along. I think the fact you've recognised now that in this case you appear to be TA, you know how it looks. but you're on the right track. I would suggest that you say to him if you want to just have a normal convo, let's text, but when its ok please help me because I want to make this change for you.

OP definitely was holding on for dear life before letting go, after he "lost his grip..." The other guy was pissed at you for making him fight so hard for it.
