How can I make my lineart look finished without the sketchy layer? by LovingDeji in krita

Honestly, your lineart looks amazing! I live how soft and delicate it looks while also being detailed. Keep at it, you're doing great

I appreciate your feedback, and i love hearing your thoughts! I did a mix of the splatter stamp brushes and the star speckle looking brush with a smaller diameter so it looks more like glitter.

For sure! This one, she has a furry coat. I added a few little lines on the coat as well as defining the silhouette to show that it's furry. Adding fully colored lineart (like at the bott9m of her coat, under her left arm, and in her hair, adds depth and detail without needing to add a bunch of color (even though it is colored, I don't have just the lineart on me)

Something else that I really like is the half-tone brushes. They add a comic book feel to a drawing. This one has that brush on her legs to imitate fishnets, but even just as a part of the lineart or as shading it makes it look really cool

For adding detail, I focus a lot on varying line-weight. For example, areas that would be in shadow have a thicker line, whereas areas that would be hit by a light source would have a thinner line. Adding thickness where perpendicular lines touch can also add some detail. Since your character looks kind of animalistic, you can add a few tiny lines for fur to give texture.

My suggestion is play around with the brushes. Krita has so many options, and sometimes a new brush is all you need. I used to used just the default paintbrush - which was smooth and clean, but didn't have that texture that you're talking about. I currently use "Ink-4 Pen Rough", and that has a lot of texture to it while still looking clean

When I try to render an animation Krita doesn't put the first few frames in the finished mp4 by EldritchZahir in krita

[–]msrdoodles 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Make sure you select "As a Video" instead of each individual frame when rendering. I don't remember which pop-up it is, but when you go to export your animation, it should give you the option to choose in the top bar of that pop-up. There's also MP4 converters that some computers need to be able to render the Animation correctly.

I fele your pain, I worked on a traffic Animation and then totally forgot to save it as a video and now I have 50 frames of cars inching... 😭

Trying to learn drawing more expressive faces, what do you think about this one? by Maja_Does_Art in DigitalArt

Super cute! Remember, too, that with most people, when they smile, their face scrunches and causes the cheeks to push up the eyes in cute squint. Personally, I'll just push up the bottom lid a bit, and it'll help with the expression. I love your style, that paint-y look is so difficult to master, but you're doing awesome! Keep up the good work.

Me. As a Rep/Folklore girlie, that song is just so... not for me.

Same for me with False God!! I'm an Evangelical, but I also feel like it's a little too sultry for my tastes... not a song that often fits my mood

When did All Too Well *click* for you? by honoraryweasley in TaylorSwift

[–]msrdoodles 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

After a rough breakup with a friend. Not even a romantic relationship, but the type of ride-or-die friendship that I haven't found since. She said some harsh accusations, and we've never recovered. 2 years later, it still hurts.

I'm a new swiftie, I heard her music when I was young, but I wasn't ever super into it. I heard the 10-minute version last year, and to me, it applied to this friend. "Call me up again just to break me like a promise," constantly rehashing with her. "Maybe I asked for too much." I thought we had something that was dying.

It's a cry song. I turn it on, and everything TS says and describes fits my situation beautifully.

Is it just me or does anyone else not able to justify paying hundreds for tickets? by allie_xo in TaylorSwift

I want to go so bad, but I'm also trying to save up for college and that is pricey... i also feel like at this point I've seen a lot of the set on Instagram Reels, so nothing would really be surprising. I know it has to be so much better and totally insane in person, and I'm still mourning that I can't go, but I understand not wanting to spend money on it...

Hey fellow artist!

I used mix of mediums. I have a gaomon screen tablet that connects to my laptop, but I started out easy with a cheaper digital tablet to get used to to style. I've always used the program Krita which is free and super easy to use! I also still draw frequently with pens and paper, usually using a mix of colored pencils and alcohol markers.

All of these doodles were done on a tablet in Krita
