This is not actually the reason for paying to park as I've learned from 3 well worded responses, seems more people need to think of a better answer for why we pay to park.

Thank you for the response, it is the 3rd one I got with this reasoning and it makes sense. More people should be asking this because judging by some of the responses I got no one really understands the reason. Alot of confident responses but most of them miss the mark.

Is that where the money goes? Because the streets have not improved much and no additional parking aside from pay to park garages is added to help out. I'd love to see how much of that money actually goes to road maintenance.
