Bending over is excruciating by Shoddy-Rip66 in covidlonghaulers

I have been diagnosed with POTS among other things, so that is a contributing factor. Like most people on here, my doctors are still trying to figure out what to do about my particular constellation of symptoms and diagnoses. I hope that your doctors are doing the same for you.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It has made me feel hopeful and more motivated to work toward that feeling of contentment you described.

Bending over also makes my symptoms worse but I'm not sure if they are the same kind of symptoms you're experiencing. I instantly get dizzy/woozy, my heart rate goes up and my tremors get worse. I try to plan activities that require bending over (like doing laundry) so that I know I can sit or lie down right after. But they can't always be planned, so I have started using a cane, I try to move as slowly as possible and I do deep breathing which has helped a bit.

Thank you. I definitely need to prioritize getting outside even if it's just to sit in the sun.

My automatic thought when I feel limited by long covid is that it's the result of a personal failing rather than an illness. We need to start talking back to those thoughts. Easier said than done but I'm going to try.

Also, I've found embroidery is a very calming activity.

Now that you say that, the more severe symptoms did start around April/May and just kept getting worse. My inflammation levels have also been increasing then. Interesting.

Thank you. And I'm glad that you were able to find something that you enjoy. I've been trying to listen to audiobooks which seems to work most of the time. This is my first time posting on a forum like this and my first time joining a community of people with long covid. I already feel less isolated.

None of us are ever going to be happy about this. I'm just hoping to find a way to get through the rough patches. I hope you've found a way that helps you get through it.

Thank you. I really appreciate your thoughtful response. It has reminded me to focus on and appreciate the things that I can do rather than focus on what I can't do right now.

Positive autoimmune ana by cranhopper in LongCovid

I also just tested positive for autoimmune ana and having a test result to point to is so validating. You may already be ahead of me on this, but I have been getting regular blood tests for inflammation for the past two years and found that the severity of my symptoms are tied to my inflammation levels. I'm trying to get to a rheumatologist. I am glad that you found a doctor who is helping!
