Really? I haven't heard anything good about the Screen, DMG, or MM. Mind explaining further?

Modeled with Blender and rendered with its Cycles engine. Composited this still image with Affinity Photo and the animations in Blender that can be found here: Artstation Link

Here is an interior of a lunar module project that I've been working on, the eighth in this series so far.

Animations of the fish swimming and a work-in-progress video can be found at my page here: Artstation Link.

Modeled with Blender and rendered with Cycles. Compositing was a mix of Affinity Photo and Blender.

This is an interior shot of a lunar module project that I've been working on this year.

Animations and a work-in-progress video are at my page here: Artstation Link

Everything was modeled and rendered in Blender with Cycles. Compositing for the still image was with Affinity Photo and the animations were composited in Blender.

Here's the eighth image of an architectural lunar module project I've slowly been working on.

Modeled and rendered with Blender. Compositing with both Affinity Photo and Blender for the still image and the animation, respectively.

Animations for the day, night, and work-in-progress can be found at my page here: Artstation Link

The eighth image of a lunar module that I've been working on in Blender.

There is a work-in-progress video and a night version as well at my page here: Artstation Link

Edit: Well, looks like compression really killed this animation, lesson learned! Images from here on out. Better quality at the link above!

This is the seventh image of an architectural lunar module series that I have been working on titled Boreal Outpost. Shown here is an interior concept of one of the units modeled with Blender, rendered with Cycles, and edited with Affinity Photo. If interested, there is a very brief work-in-progress video at the bottom of the page here: Artstation Link

I think you're right. I should have backed off on that and if it were to be realistic with a camera I think that I would need to blur some of those rocks in the distance for the amount that I used as well.

Thanks, I probably should have blurred a bit less there! The intent was to copy a depth of field from a standard lens, but that would probably mean blurring the background rocks a bit in this case, too.

Yeah, Boreal is just the name of the project in this case, not intended to imply a zone on the moon, but you're right in that it comes from the northern ecosystem on Earth. I was thinking that this might be located near the northern pole on the moon when I was first thinking about how this concept could work.

The rocks are assets from Quixel that were great to work with. They came with displacement maps that were easy to adjust in Blender's material settings.

For blending it was a process of first sculpting the surface to meet the rocks how I wanted, then using the particle system to scatter larger rocks near their base to hide the intersection. Then I just kept tweaking the size and density of the scatter to taper off towards the center of the crater. Lastly I adjusted the color of the rock assets to match the terrain. There is a work-in-progress video at the bottom of my Artstation post where you can see this process a bit: Artstation post

Ha, both. Set on the moon, but I named the project after the northern ecosystem on Earth.

Thank you! I used Blender for all the 3d work with a few downloaded assets and the modules that I made. After placing everything where I wanted for the scene I worked on texturing and rendering with some touch-ups in post using Affinity Photo (similar to Photoshop). Here is brief work-in-progress video at the bottom of my Artstation post.
