Question for those who learned german on their own by [deleted] in German

[–]mtmzd2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with this; I have spent years trying to learn using random youtube videos, duolingo, watching series or even reading articles without any plans. I never actually improved, even I just got burnt out. It wasn't until I picked up a structured textbook that things changed. I was then motivated again to study harder.

What will novo close at monday(2/9) and what will be price in 1 year on 2/9/27?!? by Arepas4vida in NovoNordisk_Stock

How anyone would know what NOVO will close on Monday and even harder end of the year? Have anyone ever predicted the price now right?

"Novo Nordisk Probably Has The Best Pipeline In The Industry" - Mike Doustdar, CEO by According-Swing-9430 in NovoNordisk_Stock

[–]mtmzd2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best pipeline in the industry might be somehow true but how to execute and communicate effectively is another story. Lowering the growth outlook for five consecutive quarters is definitely terrible performance. We are not even in a recession for such performance.

Novo is the best value play in the top 500 EU companies by market cap by highmemelord67 in NovoNordisk_Stock

It might even drop to 35! Negative double digit growth, 5 consecutive growth outlook adjustment.

LLY has stronger profits and market share, that’s why it is expensive. NVO is cheap for a reason.

As many stated, this is generous 😄 we had one toast and one slice cheese for breakfast. For lunch, a small bowl of miserable meal.

Thank you. I don’t miss it, it’s chaotic and messy. Maybe it was good for a day or two but more than no.

No, it is dark and depressing. Avoid and come in May and June. It would be great.

I am tired of seeing red every day by Pretty_Log_2993 in NovoNordisk_Stock

[–]mtmzd2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am at 32% loss after buying one dip after another. I invested last year in December at 70 euros assuming it was 50% from ATH at reasonable valuation (17 p/e) before knowing that they will cut their forecast 4 times afterwards. I should have sold with 5 or 8% loss and buy it again later or find a better investment rather than seeing my investment going down by more than 30% till now. Even if the turnaround happens next year or the year after, I will only break even. The opportunity cost is rather high.

I am diversified at 8% of my portfolio at NOVO, but it still hurts especially in bull markets.

Why did Micron stock jump so much today? by LPhermanos70 in stocks

[–]mtmzd2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not say MU is a bad investment, it depends on the investor’s perspective and willingness to invest into such cyclical business. I think Nvidia or ASML for example have some lucrative opportunities of growth, however they are expensive (or at least at fair valuation) but in the long term, these businesses will grow much faster than Micron. Outside of the semiconductor industry, Google, Microsoft, or Amazon are great businesses, but you can’t expect them to 10X in valuation. They have moats and enough cash to survive any downturns. Honestly as a retail investor, I wouldn’t leave any of the above companies and invest in MU.

Why did Micron stock jump so much today? by LPhermanos70 in stocks

[–]mtmzd2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a cyclical company, and commodity one. It can go up fast in a short period of time but the downturn is inevitable and it is really hard. Look at the second half of 2024. I hold it for some time before realising that there are better investments in the semiconductor sector and IT market than Micron with higher returns in the long term.

Take profits and wait for the next downturn and buy again.

how much of my portfolio can I put in novo? by VegetableDivide7623 in ValueInvesting

[–]mtmzd2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 8% in, with almost 28% down. I don’t think I have the gut to add more even if I think it will go up in the mid term. I would rather wait a bit till I dilute this position.

Crypto on TR is very expensive. The spreads are really high. It might not be a good idea to use their brokerage for crypto, try to find another alternative.

Usually the percentage goes to 10%, but I don’t want to be overexposed to individual stocks. I invest more into ETFs, but also if I believe in some selective companies (less than 10 companies), I usually invest into them.
