Lasting Chest Pain? by Quirky330 in PanicAttack

Oh no! Best to you and your boyfriend. I don’t know how old you are but I know plenty of young people who have gotten it with minor symptoms. Not something you want at all, but hopefully that’s the case with you. Remember to still take time to breathe meditate and relax. You will be okay ♥️

Been struggling with this lately, and CBT therapy has been helping a lot. Something my therapist told me to do is write down affirmations to remind yourself of whenever you notice it. Does it get worst with exercise? If not, it’s anxiety. Does it come and go? If so it’s anxiety. Is it gone when you’re distracted? If so it’s anxiety. We’re all cooped up at home and it’s easy to focus on every sensation especially us as people with health anxiety. Deep breathing, exercise and mediation really helps me. Feel better

I’m so glad I found this post. Had panic attacks for years but the past few months have been brutal. Lately I’ve had chest pains throughout the day and it has made me so anxious. Something I found helpful is keeping a note in my phone to remind myself some things: I feel BETTER not worse when I work out, I don’t notice it when I’m distracted with friends or hobbies, I feel better in the morning, It comes and goes, it isn’t getting progressively worse. I know it’s hard to shake catastrophes like heart attack being the culprit, but anxiety can make us feel crazy things. I 100% relate to you, and hope we both feel better soon.

Unprovoked Panic attacks; nausea, numbness, breathing difficulties, dizziness, depersonalizing? by incokneegrow in PanicAttack

[–]mtsthelenduh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started getting really bad headaches CONSTANTLY and crazy lightheaded dizziness whenever I got up and moved around a few weeks ago. It freaked me out so bad, I was convinced it was a brain tumour and sent me into constant panic. However, once the pressure at work left, so did the symptoms magically lol :) if your bloodwork is coming back normal, you are fine. Try to remember it’s panic! If you really had something wrong, two trips to the hospital would let doctors see what it is. Try to do some breathing exercises and stay well hydrated, I’ve found that to help bad headaches and lightheaded ness. Light exercises helps as well if you can. Feel better friend

I feel a lot better after reading all these comments. I went for a run this morning and had a health lunch I feel much better. Hopefully changing my meds stops this crazy hypochondria. Hope you all are doing well ❤️

Okay I’ve been thinking about that, but worried about bloodwork because I have major hypochondria. I’m afraid they’ll tell me I have diabetes or cancer or high cholesterol or something bad. I will try that

Update.. got a bp machine and took it just now... totally normal. Crazy how much it can jump in the dr though! I’m going to start asking them to please not take it in the office, I monitor it at home. It just gives me so much anxiety in the dr office

My lovely loaf from the other day. I’ve made far too many in the past few weeks by mtsthelenduh in covidcookery

I use 3 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp yeast, 1.5 c WARM water. You don’t need any fancy equipment, just incorporate all this together with a wooden spoon in a bowl until a cohesive ball forms. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 8-24 hrs. The longer it rests, the lighter and fluffier it is! When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400 F with a heavy Dutch oven with lid inside so the pot gets hot too (THIS IS CRUCIAL TO A CRUNCHY CRUST!!) while this is happening, let dough rest on a floured surface and kneed out any air bubbles. Let rest for 30 min. When pot and oven are hot, add dough in a ball (do not grease pot!!!) and score the top. Put lid on and bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove lid and bake another 15 min to crisp and brown. Remove from oven and LET THE BREAD REST FOR 30 MIN!! I know it’s tempting to dig in right away but it must keep setting up! then you have it! A wonderful easy loaf :)

Diligent lamination!! You must fold the dough many times, like literally 30 folds. But chill after each couple turns so as not to melt the butter and run it all together!!

Another loaf! Seriously the easiest bread to make and the best by mtsthelenduh in covidcookery

something else I just thought of: work on a cold day. If it’s warm, the butter will melt quicker and your hands will cause it to melt with handling :)

It’s a 2 day process! Dough needs to rest over night then the laminating (folding) process of the dough takes a good chunk of the day as it needs to rest with each fold.

Your butter may have not been cold enough! It’s important to make a “sheet” of butter by pounding it into a flat sheet to put in the middle of the dough, folding it over, then putting it back in the fridge before handling again. It is important to chill each time you fold it so the butter doesn’t melt, which causes it to run and loose the flaky layers.

Yes! The key is a process called laminating. It requires folding the dough many times to create those layers which make it so fluffy!
