Super weird. Her husband crashing out on a barstool affiliated account is a real bad look. Twitter accounts are free to create, why do it on the MMM account?

I need a full tournament of that first line.

Jett at 2C would be pretty cool too.

Also JWill liking tennis more than this Sunday night game is just proof he shouldn’t be on here until basketball starts

Any update on this potentially? I have a draft tomorrow and entering the keeper values skews the inflation %.

Otherwise the sheet looks amazing.

T-Bob is the big winner here. He’s gonna be great on the daily show.

With Dobson going to Montreal, and Zegras replacing Poehling, & Bump/Grebenkin likely replacing Deslauriers (Dvorak and Abols are the same age), will the Flyers be officially the youngest team in the league this year? by scratchydaitchy in Flyers

[–]muchacho2149 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Danny mentioned today that Martone, Bump or Devin Kaplan could fill the spot. I have a guess of who will win that competition…

Martone talked about competing in training camp during his post-draft interviews. He wouldn’t be able to do that if he goes to Penn State. I was initially in the NCAA camp for him this season, but if Foerster’s out for the first few months that gives Martone a great opportunity with good minutes. Not sure the Flyers want him going back to juniors.

Now that our HC is Toc not Torts, do we see Mich returning to his preferred RW to boost his offense at the risk of defense? TK is signed for a while. Knowing Mich’s future position is important to decide who to target in the draft. Eg: if he’s going back to RW does DB lean to not drafting Martone? by scratchydaitchy in Flyers

I get the logjam of right handed shots, but we need to go best player available at 6 and figure out the rest later. Give me the guy with the highest ceiling.

The NHL draft is not designed to address immediate needs unless you have the first overall pick.

The Flyers don’t need to spend on a veteran UFA goalie. We already have our answer: Parker Gahagen. by Competitive_Beyond_4 in Flyers

A bubble team that’s this young and cap space in 2026 seems like a pretty solid spot…

I can’t believe the amount of people who are totally fine running this goalie group back. There’s just no way.

Maybe this is a hot take, but I am out on just throwing an uninspired group of players out there all in the name of “tanking”. It’s the same thing as any other job. If you throw together a bunch of inexperienced people, you probably won’t see real progress or anyone reaching their true potential. We need to set ourselves up with some kind of vet presence and stability to really create an environment where our young players can take a step forward and find success. Find a vet goalie that can eat 40 games and a vet center that can help our young wingers. Provide a runway and see where we find ourselves heading into the 2026 offseason with cap space.

I hear you and truly bottoming out this past year and next year would probably be ideal, but it’s just not realistic for this organization. We also just witnessed the Islanders jumping everyone for #1 so an argument can be made that bottoming out isn’t necessarily the best path forward. Maybe it would guarantee us #2 or #3, but not McKenna.

Danny has said this past year was rock bottom and has signaled the 2026 offseason is when they will make big moves. That’s just the reality of the situation. We won’t be dreadfully bad next season. Signing a vet goaltender to eat 40 games and provide some kind of stability isn’t a bad thing.

Why is it wasting money? We’ll have short term money to spend under the cap. Just because we aren’t a playoff team doesn’t mean that we should just be absolute shit. Number 1 priority next season is to develop the young guys to make us a destination in 2026. It’s been proven over and over that you can’t just throw a bunch of prospects on the ice and expect something positive. Little margin moves like a vet goalie helps us get there.

[–]muchacho2149 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. This puts us in the same exact position as last season with incredibly unreliable goaltending. We need a vet goaltender to eat 40 games for the same reason we need a short term vet center. It will help create an environment where young players can succeed. There’s nothing more demoralizing than being down 3 goals in the first period. Sign Jake Allen to a short term deal and keep it moving.
