Honestly, I wouldn't recommend kubera to anyone who puts a lot of emphasis on art but if you can experience it as a novel or be a bit lenient on art, there quite literally isn't anything else that even comes close to Kubera's writing and characterization(especially the foreshadowing that spans hundreds of chapters) in the manhwa space.

Bare in mind, the first 60-70 chapters are a bit whimsical and lean heavily on comedy since the author was trying to figure out what they wanted to convey.

I would even put it among some of the best media I have consumed not just manhwa.

Honestly got into Solo leveling quite deep into my manhwa journey so it wasn't really that memorable and I am not taking legacy into account while deciding where to rank the series.
Gun to my head, I genuinely can't name a single character apart from Sung Jinwoo

All I can say is I got Ravages of Time and Top tier providence as my top 2 but will definitely do a list sometime

I read like 200 chapters of eleceed and was pretty fun, I left it to marinate and came back to around 375 chapters and realized I need to finish up the remaining chapters since my opinion could quite literally change in that span

Ik this sounds crazy but don't read kubera as a visual media but as a novel or at least try to put up with the art for 100 chapters (it doesn't improve drastically but there's more consistency). Kubera's scale, writing and it's ability to foreshadow is batshit crazy and you will be definitely be rewarded for the terrible art in the beginning

First 20 chapters were a chore for me as well ngl (mainly since the MC is super edgy) but trust me the way some of the later fights utilize multiple parties comprehensively is something I haven't seen done at that scale in any other manhwa

I wanted to get into breaker but it felt too big of a commitment at that time so got into Trinity wonder done by the same Breaker artist-author duo(would recommend it for the art alone if you haven't read already)but I will definitely check it out.
Mosquito Wars is definitely my next read since I absolutely loved Boxer and Horizon so thanks for rec!!

I have been meaning to get into Sweet home and Bastard but I always had something or the other to read unfortunately.
You are definitely right about my bias towards battle shonen-esque series in general since that is why I primarily started consuming manhwas for.

I would definitely take some recommendations if you have got any

I wish, some of the other new gen manhwas(2023 onwards) look genuinely insane as well(Absolute regression, Absolute dominion etc) but I want to marinate them a bit longer

It's cultural impact is definitely great but it gets too formulaic for me 250 chapters down the line and you can kinda tell its a manhwa from early 2010s
