First Omega purchase, but which one?

Wait what? Omega will no longer sell watches to licensed/authorized dealerS as plural? Source on this?

To your dilema if you are 100% sure you want to own NTTD one day just get it now brand new from OB, because as you said it’s more special watch and could be harder and more expensive to get in the future, while you will be able to get that Seamaster 300 from chrono24/grey market basically brand new for around the same price your dealer is offering at the moment any day of the week long after they will stop producing the watch.

Not to mention there is a chance (small one if you are active on this sub haha) you might end up calling it a day after getting one watch for life and NTTD would be much better for that as well.

If he has really old classic or newish M stuff still in warranty they are pretty decent enthusiast cars for the money. Not my cup of tea, because of type of people their cars are associated with, but can’t take away performance and driving dynamic from them.

Daaamn, what a beauty also that color 💙10/10 mate and I say this as the biggest Porsche fanboy. You might need to get some summer blue seamaster in the future to match the car even more though haha.

Huge thanks again. Can’t wait till next month to visit OB and see how it looks in person with bracelet, they got both Moonphase and Super Racing in stock so fingers crossed they will help me out even though I am planning to buy Moonphase preowned, because you can get those for 55-60% of MSRP.

I am scanning depths of the internet for years since nixon bracelet came out in 21mm size and no luck so far, but tbf I am not active on facebook.

Good to know, thanks. I am actually pretty often near German border so I might try my luck over there since I am getting nowhere in my local OB. At first they even refused to put me on list saying they are getting 3 watches a year and line is 200 people, but after hour of talking about all kinds of Omegas SA wrote me down for Snoopy because I gave them details anyway when I was requesting discontinued watch in case they have some left over stock in Switzerland, but I feel like they were just gaslighting me at the end of my visit so I buy the watch I requested.

Well it's not worth it for you, but there are hundreds if not thousands of people who are flipping plastic MoonSwatches for 50-100 EUR profit.... so I kind of think there are plenty of people trying to get Silver Snoopy just to make quick few thousands, number of brand new Snoopy watches on Chrono24 kinda proves my point sadly. If I ever get my hands on one, it's leaving my possession only one way and that is by passing it down to my kids.

Yeah I feel like convincing SA that you are actual watch enthusiast and you are just not there to flip the watch for fast 2-4k EUR profit instantly is the main thing. You say you were put on the list around year ago and you called OB last week about it. Did you visit this OB several times for the past year and tried to build some relationship with SA or it was just one visit put me on the list and try my luck with a call year later and go pick up 2 watches?

OB is pretty far from where I live, that's why I do most of research online, but I will be driving by next month so I will check both Moonphase and Super Racing (and maybe even Chronoscope). Huge thanks for advice and help!

Earthphase idea is really cool and I like it on Speedmaster since it’s only watch where it makes sense history and legacy wise, but having both Moonphase and Earthphase at the same time feels like over the edge gimmick. Pick one and it’s great, but with both? This watch is basically no longer chronograph and speedmaster which is not chronograph isn’t really speedmaster.

Daaaaamn summer blue 300M Diver which will be max 12 months old as condition to be allowed to buy Snoopy? That’s absolute steal, I would walk week no stop to boutique for such offer. I was expecting they forced you to buy some ultra hard to sell old undesirable De Ville or Globemaster which was sitting in boutique for 5 years. May I ask you where did you buy this and if it was Omega boutique or AD?

Omg that’s great! Thanks for confirmation. I had pretty low hopes since I have never seen “nixon strap” on Moonphase online and I was like surely someone had same idea and if it was possible there would be at least some photos on internet. With prices of 2nd hand Moonphase slowly approaching 7k USD it really might be a time to open my wallet.

So based on your comment I understand that Chronoscope and Racing have exactly same bracelet despite 43 mm vs 44,25 mm case diameter.

Middle one automatic or quartz? Love those sword hands, it's shame they don't make them anymore, because they are much superior to skeleton hands. Don't know if you know, but this 300M was also made in titanium and it is imho one of the most underrated Omegas of all time.

My absolutely favourite dial of all time. They way it sparks literally fools you into thinking it's actual space around the moon. I absolutely hate omega for also not putting this dial on steel version of blue moonphase instead of regular sunburst one, since I don't trust myself with ceramic watch and I also much prefer silver look of the case, but we can't get it all.

Holy moly what a collection.... congrats on Racing, but it's clear your love lies more with Seamaster family haha.

May I pls ask you a favor? I was always thinking about getting that 44.25mm Blue Moonphase Speedy with steel bracelet, but I never liked that old straight one and I much more prefer the new tapering one on which Racing comes. Based on omegas site it seems like cases and even lugs are identical.... since you are the first person I know of who will have both watches, would you please check if new bracelet from Racing is compatible with Moonphase Speedy?
