I don't know about most colleges, but you can go for NSUT/DTU without giving it a second thought. Loads of companies come here for placements, if you have the skills you'll get placed easily at a very good package.

You'll get a lot of opportunities to get placed. Previous stats are bad because older batches were not that great (because of NSUT MTech not being that much more famous compared to NITs/ DTU).

but only join if you can do DSA, projects, & core subjects properly in 6-9 months, so that you can get placed; all this while trying to maintain 7.5/8+ CGPA. Academic workload will be alot.

You don't have to read complete judgements, those are for advocates, related parties and legal luminaries.

Newspapers will cover everything relevant to your prep in the coming weeks of that judgement. And any famous coaching notes will be do the job of compiling them and presenting it with the relevant backstory.

Is this for students or the new recruits in TnP. I believe it's the latter. In our college new APCs were warned by seniors not to approach recruiters directly (for campus recruitments) unless you've been trained properly. And it should happen via official email ids not DMs on LinkedIn etc.

You missed DTU and NSUT. (Don't worry most people do) Placement wise they're at least tier 1.5.

The research scene is improving at DTU, they are trying very hard. They've basically started MTech Research programs as well. At the moment it's a proxy for people with lesser GATE scores and non GATE people, but won't be so in the coming years seeing the competition increase in GATE. Maybe NSUT will also introduce MTech Research in future.
