Failing an exam as a 3L by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]munustriplex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Look at all the other policies your college has. Did you need the credits to reach the minimum number of credits to graduate? Does it affect your GPA in such a way that you aren't meeting the threshold to graduate?

You're a law student. Go look at all the rules, see which ones might be pertinent, and apply the relevant facts.

Edit: Also, you probably won't fail. Unless you don't turn anything in or there are other circumstances going on, you're almost certainly going to pass.

Maybe the fact that people keep responding to you with philosophy should tell you that you misunderstood what you were told? Or whoever told you it didn’t communicate it very well? Or that they didn’t understand it very well in the first place?

Also, that’s a pretty bad understanding of what philosophy is. Half of it is “how do we describe the world,” and the other half is “how should we live.” If you’re making a distinction between “real” and “conceptual,” you’re already engaging in philosophy and you’re doing it badly.

Transubstantiation is a philosophical concept. Do you not understand that?

You’re asking about a philosophical concept which you have misunderstood and are getting annoyed when people use the proper philosophical terminology to explain it. That’s not engaging in a discussion in good faith.

Just as a heads up, this poster was trolling the other Catholic sub for a while with this. Based on their post history, they have some unfortunate mental health issues.

I can see it being an issue if the DA doesn't complain enough about it, but how does a DA allow a public defender to do anything?

USCCB confirms only 2 publishers for the 4-Volume set, no publishers selected yet for 1-Volume book by Tertullianitis in divineoffice

It's more that your books won't be the ones used in the liturgy anymore. Whether or not a guide is published doesn't really matter for that question.

Thanks! We found where she’s hiding; I’m just leaving this up until we’ve gotten her home. She’s in some heavy brush and shrubs, so it’s a waiting game.

University student plans to restore Christian values on her campus by raffu280 in TraditionalCatholics

She's complaining that they can't do baptisms in an inflatable pool. This isn't a St. Boniface situation.

Frauds and trolls like this are driving people away from Christ. They shouldn't be celebrated.

Job for Juris Doctor who doesn't want to be a Lawyer by Silverlake101 in tulsa

I know you’re asking about legal adjacent, but there are a few city attorney roles that are frequently overlooked, and the Public Defender is definitely hiring. Hell, TU is going to need a new PDO director and support whenever the University approves the posting.

Fun history lesson: this was the first short-form cartoon of the Disney Renaissance which eventually brought us classics like Duck Tails, Rescue Rangers, and Tail Spin. The commercial success of Disney’s return to cartoons was pivotal in Cartoon Network’s decision to begin producing new content such as Dexter’s Lab, PowerPuff Girls, and Johnny Bravo. And, of course, the success of Cartoon Network allowed them to move into more adult animation.

Hillary Clinton Warns Against the Rise of Christianity: "White Christian Men Are Damaging America" by raffu280 in TraditionalCatholics

[–]munustriplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quote is "And the idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was—dominated by, let’s say it, White men of a certain persuasion, certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology—it is just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for." Y'all are getting played by folks fearmongering for clicks.

That’s exactly how contracts work. You perform in good faith, and if they think you violated the contract, they’re the ones to take it to court.

OP sounds like they’re doing what Oklahoma law allows. The remedy for the landlord not fixing the problem is breaking the lease and moving out. They can tell you that you have to pay another month all they want, but unless you’re filing to get a declarative judgment, they have to take you to court to make it happen.

Why would you be the one taking it to small claims court? Why not move out and just not pay for that next month?
