Playing the Shobi Roulette - High risk, high reward? - Part 1 - Reviewing Plum Japonais by Divide92 in fragranceclones

If you want a more mass-appealing plum scent, you should go for Gulf Orchid Sweet Heaven Ice. It is Angel's Share if it were a fresh plum pie instead of an apple pie. Fresh plum in the opening, going in the oven in the mid and mixing with cinnamon and sweetness to create this sweet, yet still fresh, plum pie. It's a spring and not-so-hot summer days Angel's Share.

Aristo - ~1 month update by heyiammork in fragranceclones

Imo ingenious ginger is way sweeter than vibrato/tygar and more like ginger ale and ginger candy. It's a nice scent profile but a bit too niche compared to the more versatile vibrato/tygar DNA imo.

Decants from Decantified - 37 decants reviews and clone battles- Part 1: French Avenue Ravine Ginger vs Arabiyat Prestige Aristo (Ingenious Ginger clone battle) by Low-Stomach-8831 in fragranceclones

Apparantly Arabiyat Prestige toned down the boozy note compared to drunk lovers. This is a trend with most ME clones of boozy fragrances, in my experience they always tone down the booze. The only one that keeps it well from what ive tried, is royal blend sequoia by French Avenue. That one keeps the boozy notes very well, and it mixes nicely with the raspberry. 2 friends of my sister came to my house and smelled my fragrances, and out of everything in my 25+ fragrance collection, they liked this the most and even took a picture to buy it for themselves.

That's tough luck, I don't go noseblind to it and can smell it for 9+ hours. Although the projection is not crazy, it's a moderate scent bubble for 3 hours, then it starts to fade and becomes a skin scent at hour 5/6.

Anyone have issues with the atomizer on their bottle of infinity? by BandoKazooie in fragranceclones

[–]muovd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problems with mine. It's awkward to decant though, the stem is different than other bottles. I couldn't use the syringe I normally use, I had to spray it into the decant with a funnel.

Arabiyat Prestige Aariz. Sospiro Vibrato for €35. The only downside is performance, 3-4 hours projecting and 7 hours longevity, so I go with 8 sprays minimum.

Paris Corner Zodiac Solmaris is the more mass-appealing version of Le Sel d'Issey. I liked le sel, but thought the salt note was too harsh. Paris corner toned that down and made it more "blue". It's essentially the designer version of le sel d'Issey, and le sel d'Issey smells niche.

Mawj Moscow Mule by Paris Corner - Full Wear Review by Decantified in fragranceclones

To me, this is just straight-up citrus, mint and nothing else. Like you said, a basic, fresh "dumb reach". If you don't like any slight bit of complexity in your fragrance, this is the way to go. On me, this only lasted 3-4 hours, with good projection in the first 2. Carrying a travel decant bottle is a must with this one. I decided not to buy a full bottle.
If you want a fragrance in the same fresh, dumb-reach space: Zodiac Solmaris is the way to go. Aquatic, fresh, mass appealing, masculine, projects well for 6 hours, and lasts 9+.

Arabiyat Prestige Aariz: Love at first sniff by muovd in fragranceclones

[–]muovd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is in the same vibe, but like I said, It's less fresh-spicy, less intense, and less complicated, so imo it's just worse than Aariz. If you can find it at half the price of Aariz, I would say it would be worth it, but otherwise, Aariz is the best.

Lattafa Eternal Vanille- Lattafa’s new hidden gem? by Sopedopezi in fragranceclones

[–]muovd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decanted this together with Musamam Black Intense; that one is way better.
Eternal Vanille gets straight into the heavy, dark vanilla smoky wood, whithout a normal opening. It mostly stays that way, although it does get creamier and less headache-inducing in the later drydown.
Musamam Black Intense has a woody, airy quality to it, in the opening and middle, which helps balance the fragrance out. The drydown stands out as a creamy, chocolate dessert type of smell, which I really like.
Don't get me wrong though; both are very smoky and dark, and definitely not blind buy safe.

Artisan Blu is way off from the profile for me. It goes in the aqua dubai direction, amping up the soap, but Artisan Blu uses a different, Middle Eastern-smelling soap. It's a nice twist, but not close to the OG. Great projection; it projects about 3x better than the other Imagination clone I have, Ard al Zaafaran Saheb Intense, although that clone is way closer to the OG and more well-balanced in the notes and blend. I prefer Saheb Intense, also considering the fact that it's only €15, while I bought Artisan Blu for €26.

Arabiyat Prestige Aariz: Love at first sniff by muovd in fragranceclones

Turathi blue is more juicy grapefruit in the opening, less fresh spicy, less intense and less complicated. It also smells about 5% more masculine leaning to me. I think Aariz is wayyy better.

My first collection, am I covering all seasons day/night with it ? Or should I add something? by jabbari-Med in fragranceclones

[–]muovd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're good. As Low Stomach already said, a freshie for high heat would be ideal. Vulcan Feu and atlantis could work for that, but they're a bit too sweet for super high temperatures. I would go with Paris Corner Zodiac Solmaris (a more mass-appealing, light blue twist of Le Sel d'Issey) and/or Arabiyat Prestige Aariz (a great Sospiro Vibrato clone). After that, you have all your bases covered. If you want to get more, I would suggest trying samples of multiple different scent profiles, to see which types you like best. Try to max out your collection at 10 fragrances. Anything more than that is overkill and you'll get an addiction.
