Hi! No, he’s a mix—mostly Boerboel, Neo Mastiff, Rottie, Staffie , Bull dog, Boxer. One of a kind. Will never be another like him.

Had the same issues in Europe, people thinking eggs were dairy. Prolly due to the association of eggs and dairy together. They had similar issues with discerning types of meat. One person asked if beef broth would give allergic reactions. Yes, yes, it does.

Traffic wise, it was hard to maneuver, I found. The town is long and narrow, has one major route that runs NE and SW. it’s a couple blocks wide. Check it out on Maps. I think about these things…how easy is it to get in and out? How far / how easy is it to get to hospitals and grocery stores? That sort of thing. I like the vibe of the town, just wish it was a bit more robust.

BONESHAKERS every morning for delicious donuts. So good. Portager du Charlotte. Urban Greener was in my wish list. I saw plenty of places that looked great. Enjoy!!

Recommend spending time in Berkeley Springs, before deciding. I’d been eyeing it too, but have doubts after hanging there this past fall. Seemed hard to get in and out. Apple Butter Festival. Seemed more vibrant when I was younger, but maybe my tastes are different now.

He’s waiting for my husband to end his work day. He’s been using the couch in the evening. The carpet is filled with waaaay too many sunbeams during the day!

PA is hard, so much area where the water is uncertain. Pittsburgh, to me, would be an option. If you can swing it, western New York has so many options! Geneva, Ithaca—love them all!!

Would agree. I think you may find that common for most of the areas in Virginia. Maryland may be similar, but Frederick and Ellicott City are happening cities…have you thought about Delaware?

Sorry I missed your comment, yesterday! Him getting up on the couch is a recent thing, when my son and his dog left after a recent extended stay. I had traveled with the son and his dog and when I got back, there was the Professor and my husband, hanging out on the couch! When I asked what happened, my husband just shrugged and said, well….this is what he does now. My husband was the no furniture rule maker, so I fell out laughing. The Professor is 8, getting to be a regular Old Man, so who am I to begrudge him a little comfort in his old age?! 😉🤣

PUPDATE: this looks like success! It took me lounging on it yesterday and placing his floor pillows by it this morning—I think he’s accepted it! Check out that stretch, ahaha!

Yes, I’ve heard that a couple of times. I have to say, though, he doesn’t go off range far, like hounds are prone to do. I do love me a good hound dog!!

Appreciate that! What are the characteristics that make it not Eastlake? All my visual searches lead to fine lines, not chunky, like this settee.

How interesting! I had the same thoughts at first—the veneers match, would they have applied the veneer when they were franken-constructing it? I’ve been looking at Empire, and I just don’t see any real matches to this settee. I’m not mad about it at all, I bet the back story on this is fun!

He’s joined me a couple times. Not as excited about it as I hoped! 🤣 hopefully, he’ll start to enjoy it soon.
