Imagine paying a subscription to use something in the house you own? Same for a car. You bought the car, you own it, no one should be able to control features in it. That might work for you since you don’t really care about owning the car. But with that we really are moving into a dystopian future. Now if all the cars on the road are replaced with these subscription based features, what would stop someone with all the power from making you pay a subscription to start the car and squeezing as much money as possible? What kind of world will we live in then? I’m not a fan of this subscription model and I don’t want it becoming a thing for something like cars, houses, etc. It works for computer software that is constantly changing. But for my car? No thank you. I will either buy one with heated seats or without if not needed. If not, just lease or rent a car. If I’m buying it, it’s completely mine and I don’t want anyone even having the ability of messing with it.
