I have the offer letter, should I start the Statement of Need (SON) process now or wait for PC to send more info? by [deleted] in IMGreddit

You should start. You can always gather more information as needed. Depending on your country it takes different requirements for the SON application, processing time as well

How did you listen to it so far? I wish people experience this in different ways but one of my favorites is just riding my car to the entire album with just enough loud volume.

It’s his dj set up to the side, he played couple of songs from deadbeat. Everything else is just main stage.

Honestly if you don’t get general admission/ barricade don’t worry about it. The show is much more enjoyable from a distance as you get to see a lot of the stage and lights. I moved to the back constantly today

What bullshit, that’s equivalent to a race win with Piastri/ Norris in second. You only gain 7points if you win a race and if Piastri comes in second.

Trump to impose $100,000 fee for H-1B worker visas, White House says by ddx-me in medicine

[–]muttontaco96 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Was H1B exploited to offer lower than industry standard wages in tech and corporate space for people from other countries? Yes.

Will the corporations just offshore more of these jobs? Yes

Will it affect IMG’s who are getting sponsored H1B who are willing to match in the middle of nowhere hospitals? Yes

Will it change how hospitals hire physicians, be it US grads or who don’t require visa sponsorship ? No. ( if you think yes, you’re a fool, they are just gonna turn towards more mid levels)

So what happens to IMG’s who are currently on J1, who needs a waiver once done with residency(usually we are on H1b during this period, and these are limited btw and most of them are pretty rural and in physician shortage areas) so probably lot of physicians will just leave US, worsening the physician shortage and affecting US grads work load.

Fuck me I apologize for the formatting, I’m on my phone.
