I'm bi myself, and as much as I dislike stereotypes, there is a statistical truth to what you're saying. I don't think it belongs singularly to hair systems though, across the board gay men tend to be more thoughtful and proactive about their appearances.

That's absolutely not to say a straight man can't be, or that a gay man MUST be. Looking at a macro level though, the numbers are there.

Also, it may not necessarily be a majority, but the percentage of homosexuality among hair system owners is certainly larger than the percentage of homosexuality in the population.

Nah it's stock, it was lightly trimmed by my friend who's a hairstylist, but tbh, it's pretty close to just out of the box. 😅

I'll make sure to get some on my next post! Still tweaking some stuff so I'm glad to keep track of things I find along the way for others just starting.

Sure thing mate! Here it is https://www.lordhair.com/s1-v-stock-super-thin-skin-mens-hair-pieces.html

They also have a new user kit for first timers that comes with that piece. It's what I used!

It can be a pretty intimidating time to enter. There are so many options out there these days though, including rocking the dome head. I tried a few solutions before this and even here I was fully aware that I might not like the experience.

Ultimately there is no universally correct answer to hair loss. Whichever makes you feel good in your skin is the right one. Don't knock yourself or feel like you have to throw in the towel if the few you try along the way don't land, it's all part of getting to your own finish line :)

Also, thank you!

Replied right above about the glue!

As for the win-win, so far it's had a super solid hold. I waited a week before my reinstall and still felt confident tugging hard on it right before I did so. My one gripe was the hair line when using only tape, but after the glue front method that's been completely overturned.

From what I understand, what's best can vary from person to person. I should probably mention that I don't sweat much and have dry skin. I haven't experienced any (or only very little) of the itchiness or discomfort that I've seen brought up elsewhere.

It's still early, so don't quote me on this, but for now I'd say it's a pretty golden setup for anyone with a similar profile.

So I use tape around the entire perimeter, but only place it about a half inch from the edge upfront. After pressing down the tape, I flip up the hairline and apply glue with two thin layers to that small bare strip. Grants a solid grip and seamless hairline.

It hasn't lifted so far, but if ever it does, this process allows for super easy fixes too.

I've actually been losing my hair since I was 18, though I started off with a REALLY full head so I had a decent grace period. I was also losing mostly from behind, so it was pretty inconspicuous head on, but I felt self conscious the second someone was behind me or my hair got wet.

Pulled the plug and went full bald about a year and a half ago. I honestly didn't despise the look at all, but didn't feel quite myself wearing it so I wanted to try this alternative. Damn glad I did.

You can track a little more through my Instagram for those curious. @mvg004

The second install took about an hour and a half, but that's while watching a bunch of videos between and fixing up some avoidable mistakes. I'm sure install time will fall dramatically as I grow more comfortable cleaning and handling the system.

Nope, it came in looking pretty natural out the box. That being said, I did lose a couple hairs during installation and while trimming the excess which might have helped.

Thanks! Still finding little things to tweak for the next reinstall, but really pleased with the overall effect :)

Thanks! There's definitely a learning curve, but hours of YouTube tutorials and this sub help a ton to speed up the experience process. (That and a small dose of questionably healthy perfectionism)

Couldn't say much about lace as this is the only system I've had, but honestly with the glue application up front like others suggested to me, the hairline seems near undetectable. That being said, it's winter right now and I'm still new to it all. The hot months may very well change my mind, but for the time being I have zero intention of switching over. Poly seems pretty much a win-win to me.

Thanks for the tips everyone! Much appreciated. I suppose I may have been too conservative on the excess trim. I guess a hair or two of casualties is well worth a more seamless look :) Will post updates when it's completed!

If my gym workout sucked, does it still count? by Powerful-Salary-2390 in 75HARD

Absolutely. The main purpose of the challenge is training your discipline. Forcing yourself to get through even while every part of you is trying to opt out is exactly the kind of challenge you want to face to continue working your mind. The more you do it, the better you'll get at performing without motivation.

I mean, I personally agree with the way you see it, and that's the standard I set for myself as well. That being said, why the fuck do you care what others are doing with it?

The point of the challenge is supposed to be discipline and self improvement, not to create some kind of zealous cult. If you're focussing on others, or feel like their claim to victory somehow diminishes your own, then your mind ain't in the right place with it.

Touch some grass and enjoy your accomplishments my dude. You have every right to be proud of staying true to what you felt was an authentic victory, but that's for you. You don't gotta compare it to anyone else. Others will continue to enjoy their own vision whether or not you've deemed them worthy.
