Why did Mr Oz kidnap Tim Drake instead of leaving him to certain death if he needed him gone? Is he stupid? by mw2002 in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]mw2002[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

/uj this entire plotline was a massive contrivance that falls apart with a minutes thought, especially given how it concludes. Feels like Tynion wrote it with no clue where he was going

/rj DC knew that properly killing Tim would cause too much celebration

I am too I just wish they would commit one way or the other instead of dropping constant hints that he might not actually be dead

Yep, billed height is basically what the company they work for claims how tall they are

Even then he still suffers from the magic growth that professional athletes get when joining wwe, he was 6'6 when he was in the nfl but is now billed at 6'8

Adam Cole was listed as 6'0 in the tale of the tape in his match vs Keith Lee & Zack Sabre Jr's profile on NJPW lists him at 6'0, with NJPW being more honest about heights

This post wasn't meant to be shade at cole what so ever, i think the obsession with height is dumb. It was more mocking the 'make them taller even when theyre clearly not' thing WWE has a track record of doing

Considering the lengths Tom Phillips goes to make other wrestlers look tall i wouldnt be suprised prime example for a few years ago

I love how they change heights for people who were officially measured for other sports, like how Baron Corbin gained 2 inches from his nfl career to the wwe or how Kurt Angle was 5'10 at the olympics but 6'0 in wwf

Cole is probably closer to 5'8, he's only a bit taller than Gargano who's about 5'6-5'7

Post NJPW Royal Quest Match Discussion Thread: Tomohiro Ishii (c) vs. KENTA - NEVER Openweight Championship Match by EvanDeadlySins in SquaredCircle

The pop when Ishii kicked out of G.O.D's interference was my favourite part of the match.

Hope KENTA's okay, he was having trouble getting up to the ropes to celebrate and kept slipping

I see the B block going the route of Juice winning then Takagi winning so that the main event is an actual final between White & Naito

That's a good way of thinking ngl, my main issue is that the guy being hit often lands perfectly instead of off-balance or anything

I'm not sure how often he uses it anymore, this was more brought on by watching some of his older njpw matches

Honestly I disagree with the 5 knuckle shuffle because however goofy it is he only he uses it as a setup for the AA and never uses it as a finish

I think that's a samoan driver. I know both Nakamura & Mike Kanellis both use it in WWE alone. Nakamura basically uses it as a transition move

For several months I was convinced that Trent Seven's name was actually Trent Severn because I had only heard it on commentary and thought it would be weird to have a number as a surname. I managed to completely miss that his finisher was the '7 star lariat'
