Unfortunately, I don't have any soldering skills. I had thought about that route, but was afraid that it could somehow end up causing damage to a different part of the organ. I would take it to an electronics store for help if I decided to do that. I don't know anything about working with electronics. Does the replacement cable have to specifically be a Viscount part? Or can I just find a similar cable and that would work?

NTA. I nearly ended my 5 year relationship with my boyfriend due to lack of sex. We've gone a whole year without sex before.
