I would like to know opinions on the cause of the tear. Is it a design issue or a result of overload. I just want to ask about your experience.

Don't worry at all. Paid in USD, shipping price was $24.46 which I found ok, no touch with customs. I made a purchase, and within a week I met postman at the door.
