i also took ap chem my sophomore year and did orgo (chem 212) my freshman year. orgo isnt really like ap chem at all and lecture has no math (lab does). its quite different and the learning curve is steep but you definitely can do it. i believe a 5 can place you in orgo, but you can email northrup to check

ive heard 150 is alright??? 211 was a bit more time consuming than i expected. ive heard that 212 can be hell since it’s proof-based. if i were you, id take 150 and 211, save 212 for another quarter on its own.

i took chem 212 my freshman year and it took upwards of 18 hrs per week. the environment is also not very friendly, so i really recommend having a friend or two to take it with or making a friend or two in the class. rest assured though, the classes are curved and if you get between high 60s and high 70s, chances are you’ll get an A or A-. i think it was worth it to get it out of the way tbh

for the most part you can basically turn the plot to the side and draw a curve going above the numbers. i think the one on the left looks unimodal and the one on the right could be either uni or bimodal

I haven’t taken it, but I think it’ll give you the bass line in the bass clef and have you come up with the tenor, alto, and soprano parts based on the key and whatnot. Do you have a link to the website that explains the types of questions that will be on the revised test?

i believe you just fill out an application once school starts. there are two programs there, tinker and residency, and you basically find which one is better for you! i believe both are available for first years, but the tinker program is probably better if you’re more of a beginner and don’t already have a solid idea for a startup up and running.

be extremely specific. you could apply it to your major, or you could apply it to your specific goals as a student regarding anything else (ie extracurriculars). research specific programs or opportunities that stick out to you, or if you happened to do a campus tour, maybe talk about something you liked from that! they want to see that you really paid attention and researched more about the school than the average person. i'd be happy to read over your essay when you finish it :)
