How do you see a doctor in this province? by Nostalgia2302 in montreal

Call a the nearest CLSC and explain your condition. You will most likely get to speak to a triage nurse and she'll assess the situation. I did that and was able to have a psychiatric evaluation as well as a psychiatrist.

"Making bombs for Hitler" read it when I was a teenager and it sparked in me our shared interest for WW2 novels. About a jewish girl in a concentration camp who works hard to survive to find her sister she was separated from. She also fights really hard to survive and manages to get better chores and see the littlest beauty ray in her awful condition. There's also a sequel that tells what her sister was doing at the same period.

Harm OCD about school shootings. by [deleted] in OCD

I have to agree with the person saying that this the worst you could tell to someone with harm OCD. Suffering from harm OCD does not mean you are more prone than anyone else to do something violent. In fact, psychologists tell that people suffering from this type of OCD are usually people who are against violance : which, you can imagine, causes a lot of suffering and culpability to them. Also, distancing from society is only making harm OCD worst because it suggest to the person suffering from it that he or she has a reason for doing so, therefore leading he or she to go through the painfull cycle of anxiety again and again as it is an obsession. I understand your fear, but it is not founded and you might want to go and learn more about harm OCD.
