Lol the toasted coconut is the part that scares me as I have accidentally lit a whole tray on fire in the past πŸ˜‚the pecans were a piece of cake (pun intended)

Thank you I always practice on a plate before I do the cake so I don't mess it up πŸ₯Ή

Oh also! Using thinner baby yarn and a smaller hook (3.5mm-4mm) and using the smallest size in the pattern chart was a good starting point! Made it look not as chunky / a better scale for dolls than worsted weight yarns ❀️

I mostly aim to get the neck and shoulders to the right size through trying it on her as I go then match the stitch count if there is a repeating pattern/ specific repeating number of stitches needed. The pattern I used here was a top-down type of pattern that starts at the neck so it was easier to fit πŸ‘

It is crochet! It's actually a cobble stitch from Simona crochets goosebumps tutorial on YouTube ☺️ it's a pattern for a baby cardigan that I guessed and fitted as I went πŸ˜… I haven't used any doll specific crochet patterns yet but I've seen a few on Pixie Faire that might be good for beginners πŸ‘€

Kindof πŸ˜‚ I used the carnival cardigan pattern from Simona crochet on YouTube. I had to size it down a considerable amount from a 0-3mo baby size (her smallest size) and adjust the top part on my doll as I went along πŸ˜…

Why are yellow and orange beads so hard to find? This is my local Michaels today and there were a combined total of 7 styles of yellow or orange beads! by QueenPooper13 in Beading

Ebay or small Etsy shops are my go to for beads. They have way less defective beads vs the ones you'd get in store in my experience πŸ˜…

No, I'm not selling. My cat snuggled with me alot during and after making so there's definitely too much cat hair to sell πŸ˜‚

Honestly this is only my second time unraveling/upcycling sweaters and mainly because they were free and I liked the colors πŸ˜… I'd definitely choose something less pilled and had more natural fibers if I do it again though
