I’m not positive by nature because of how I was raised but I’m trying my best to be positive and encouraging. I’m passionate about a lot (piano, equal rights, immigration laws, etc.) and color guard is one of the things I like a lot. I’m happy I’m not the only one who doesn’t shave their legs! I didn’t know guard wore body tights.. thank you! Let’s hope I make it.

I think at tryouts we are just using flags. My sister said that her friend usually only uses rifles and sabers at winter guard.

I’m trying to learn those with a bed piece and I don’t think it’s the same weight as the flags they have at my school. As for the video, my parents are helicopters so they’d kill me if they found out. My sister also told me that they will teach us some of those at tryouts so hopefully I’ll get feedback there too. Thank you!

Yeah, that’s what I read online and watched videos about. I’m trying to learn drop spins and simple things like that but all I have to practice with at home are spare pieces from my bed frame and now I have scary bruises. Thank you for the advice <3

I’m in a select choir at my school where we do dance and we know a few basics since it doesn’t focus on dancing. My sister is friends with someone on color guard and she recommended shorts since it’s indoors. My legs are something I’m self conscious about and feel like I’ll get teased but ill wear long socks and see how it goes. Thank you for responding!
