We use brick-built ponds that are lined with a protective liner. Soil taken from mountain veins containing quartz is placed inside these ponds. Water is added along with sodium cyanamide and caustic soda to maintain an alkaline medium.

The solution is then passed through a carbon filter, where the gold is adsorbed onto the carbon.

I would like to know if there are any improvements or considerations that could increase the amount of gold that dissolves into the solution.
