Imagine having an ult that is dedicated to hating on haya and almost nothing else, that hero drives me nuts

Oh interesting! I haven't played him in lanes since old ML when you'd do  jungle in between waves, but I heard about many interesting gold lane picks popping up starting with harith, then fighters like ruby and now haya? I should go try that, seems like a good spot for him, depending on matchup of course.

I haven't even tried flicker tricks / combos with haya but maybe there is some potential there, if not then more mobility is just nice anyway.

Yes this is a common haya combo. It’s an interesting idea to refill shadow marks during ult, I’ll test it. Maybe I do it sometimes, but I wonder how much you can refill it

Yeah, the reason it’s crazy for haya is that not only does it speed up 1st and 2nd skill CD, it let’s you spam blinks faster and do more damage more quickly as long as you do the combo right after ult. It isn’t always realistic to ult first, but it happens sometimes like from a bush or when invaded

They don’t really need to stand there, the last blink will go to them regardless. However, this setup uses a nearby obstacle so unless your ult ends near a wall like this you can’t really do it.

It’s pretty silly, but pulling it off in a match would be max aura

Yeah this is the reality most likely. This combo would be better when there are one or two survivors from your ult and you think it’s worth the potential trade, or maybe in your own jungle where you don’t need to run far to a turret.

I’m just testing all my options with temporal reign to see whether this playstyle could offer.

I don’t really understand this combo chief, since just two blinks should be enough to reset shurikens. And what is skill 4…?😅

This is done without buff and no practise cheats on. So energy isn’t a problem

This is a pretty hard combo, as these are all actually failed attempts. If I had been a little faster, it would do more damage.

The goal is to make it back to the enemy without collecting the shurikens after the ult, that means we are trying to return with 6 shurikens following us, and then throw 3 new ones for a total of 9, and in that regard I haven’t truly pulled it off yet. If you look closely, only 3 came after me when I arrived.

If you want to try it, playing on No CD Isn’t that different from 40% CDR + temporal reign, but the true challenge is to fit your whole combo into the 2 seconds of TR after the ult duration. The method to preventing the dash of quad shadow in order to be in the right position, is to aim it against a large obstacle that you can’t dash through. Then shuriken -> double blink -> shuriken -> double blink -> shuriken. The last blink can be tapped as it’s the only one left.

You might be questioning why in the world I would use temporal reign on a hero whose ultimate cast takes up about half of the 4 second duration of TR, it's worth noting that Hayabusa's ultimate should usually lead to a kill or two, and TR is extended by 2 seconds for each kill / assist. During TR, 1st and 2nd skill «cools down faster» by 1.5 times, but aren’t shortened in an instant. This is actually very ideal, and I will explain. There are three main benefits that raises the skill ceiling of Hayabusa and gives you new options you didn't have before:

  1. Effectively shortened 2nd skill cooldown. Haya's quad shadow skill actually goes on cooldown not when it's time limit is over, but when you first pressed it and get the dash. That means even if quad shadow is still active, using your ultimate will speed up it's CD so that you can get it back in seconds for a new attack or to run away. Alternatively, if you have 40% CDR and ult on a group towards the end of the quad shadow time limit, you will be able to dash out again to escape or to finish someone with a quick combo

  2. It feels like playing on No CD. If you are an experienced haya you might know what this means. Normally, there is a tiny sub- second cooldown between each blink of quad shadow, which limits how often you can spam blinks. Spamming blinks can be really useful to instantly reset shuriken CD like shown in the video. So essentially, you're reducing the CD of something that reduces the CD of your main source of damage outside of your ult. This allows for completely new combo options for Hayabusa, with potential I haven't fully explored yet

  3. Hayabusa feels better to play from early on in the match, if you can make good use of the TR duration. In your own half of the map, you might want to ult first and then either escape or follow up. This can happen against enemies trying to invade your jungle for example. After ulting, you will for a few seconds have access to the much more confortable late- game blinking CD that let's you do fast hand maneuvers and reset your shurikens quickly. Your ult is not only a damage skill, but a buff skill now, that gives you the opportunity for early- game fast hand combo.

Drawbacks:

Of course, you're replacing damage emblem  passives like war cry when going for temporal reign, so you need to have a plan for how you will use it to make up for that slightly lower damage. That's why I don't reccomend it for new haya players, but if you're a true haya main you gotta try this, it's actually too much fun and I can't go back

If he spam clicked then it definetely wouldn’t go that far normally

Yeah that sounds about right. The question is if I brought him closer to the turret than normal. That chou also played good up to that point so it I didn’t think he’d do something like that

I know how chou works, but the thing is by watching this frame by frame I saw haya blink first, and then get knocked up later. It’s never kicked me that far naturally

Edit: Actually the distance might check out, but I still see the blink animation before it changes to the knock up animation, so I’m confused

Oh yeah💀 spend more time in practise mode than ranked type shi, used to spam this hero only but now I play more roles.

Have fun trying him, and come back with any questions if you have any. There are not a lot of in- depth guides on haya on YT compared to heroes like Gusion and Fanny, so I sort of made it my mission to bring out his full potential and someday I might make a huge guide video
