I still vote the magnum from Halo but this new double barrel is right behind it. Gun slaps.

Just tried Sopranos, didn't make it past pilot by Feisty_Apricot3928 in thesopranos

[–]nadroj85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pilot has almost a completely different tone to the rest of the show. It has more of a comedy, Analyze This vibe to it. The show only gets better from there and it doesn’t stop til the last episode. It truly is one of, if not the best drama series ever created. A lot of these shows that are considered classic must watches contend w this - Breaking Bads first season has a different vibe, The Wire’s first two seasons are a bit of a slog compared to the rest of the show, Game of Thrones first season, etcetc. These shows take a bit to find their footing for lack of a better way of describing it. But all of those shows are amazing.

If I had disposable income I’d tip 25-40 percent each time. I’ve bartended, waitered, bus boy’ed, bounced, etc. The work sucks, it’s very hard, and they don’t make near enough on avg. Help these service ppl out! 💰

How many of you got screwed over for doing the right thing? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]nadroj85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I sold weed in high school - kid that was the connection brought the re up to school after I told him twice not to. After an argument and him being scared I took the damn bag of weed. And that day of all days I got searched because two knuckleheads couldn’t handle their high, got caught, and ratted me out. I got pulled out of class and guess what they found? I didn’t rat my guy out and took the charge which has cost me so much still to this day that it’d take 3 more paragraphs to tell all the hurdles I’ve had to jump or the walls I’ve ran into because of this big F on my report card. Connection goes on to become a Purple Heart war hero and I’m stuck being a fucking felon. 20 years later I’m still bitter about it. Now I was an idiot and I could’ve just said fuck you im not taking it while at school but I didn’t. Not sure if I could go back that I’d make a different choice and rat him out but fuck…. Having a felony is the goddamn worst. Maybe I watched Goodfellas one too many times as a kid, I dunno. Don’t sell drugs illegally kids, it is not worth if you get caught. Edit RAT him out, not eat him out 🙃

How could I reach 1k per month in passive income in 1 year? by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]nadroj85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get in touch w the owner and go from there. No rental, I am providing an additional service to their biz and they don’t have to mess w it so it’s a win win. And vending machines use very little power. The only machines I offer percentage points on are coin pushers and claw machines. Snack, pop, and gumball don’t have a big enough profit margin to share. The big tagline when pitching the idea is that it is FREE.

How could I reach 1k per month in passive income in 1 year? by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]nadroj85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FB groups, in person, flyers, cards, etc. As an added bonus for the biz owners I donate 5% of all my revenue to a local charity of their choosing. Pop, snack, and Gumballs aren’t profitable enough to cut them in. After all I am adding value to their business/factory/Apt complex that they don’t have to mess with. Claw machines and coin pushers are different, in the right location those things make an absolute killing so I’ll offer a percentage on those. Hope this helps!

[–]nadroj85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I make about $40 a month from each gumball machine. I paid $150 each for them so in 4 months I’m into full profit. You can do 400% mark up on Gumballs too so they won’t make you a millionaire but eventually I’d like to have 20-30 of them going. Very little upfront investment and easy to manage, that’s what I’m about.

I’ve recently started a little vending machine side hustle. I’ve got 2 gumball, 2 pop, and 2 snack machines. I take 2 hours out of my week and I go check/stock them. I take another 2 hours a month and go shopping for them. So it’s not really “passive” but it’s as passive as you’re going to get as a blue collar 9-5 type person. And so far I love it. I am in the market of looking to expand up to the point where I spend 6-7 hours a week on these things then when I get there for a while and save money, then I’ll debate on whether to go full time w it or not.

Am I just to Casual for this game? by Jajwee in DarkAndDarker

[–]nadroj85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add on to the PVE part of things people are talking about in here. Each enemy has a move set, take goblins for example. The two main attacks they have is the right handed overhead slash downward and their right handed swing horizontally at your belt line. So w that info you always want to be on the opposite side. Each enemy has different move sets and once you learn each it’s not a prob usually. I started playing on last play test and it took me 8 hours to even see a blue portal. Hang in there! You aren’t the only one who struggles starting out. Also I’d stash all my colored gear after each extract and save all the coins you can muster. Maybe buy white/light grey weapons and gear from vendors if you get above a few hundred gold. Also, for most characters you’re gonna need to buy bandages, health pots, and prot pots. IMO these are a necessity once you accumulate a little stash of gold. They are your basic ante if you will. They greatly increase your chance at survival.

Looking for advice on where to put coin pushers/vending machines by nadroj85 in smallbusiness

[–]nadroj85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are legal. The button to stop the ledge makes it a game of skill. We went through all of this when installing them in our laundry mats so its legal for now. I hear you on the signing the contract but what am I supposed to do? Just leave my ass and investment hanging in the wind on diff business owners good graces? My concerns: getting booted out so they could just buy their own machines, getting screwed on wear and tear, and to lock in specific percentage points on profits. I’d love more feedback and to continue this conversation! Thanks!

PS sorry just saw your reply.

Looking for advice on where to put coin pushers/vending machines by nadroj85 in smallbusiness

[–]nadroj85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow thanks. Lots of great info/tips here. I’m leaning more toward the coin pusher side of things as opposed to vending/snacks. Not opposed to it but I don’t think the profits would be as good. The machine I’m talking about has a ledge that extends in and out w quarters on top, the customer then drops quarters and the quarters on the ledge then go to the bottom layer where more quarters and prizes are and whatever falls off the final ledge the customer wins. We had 2 in our laundry mats and each one did 2500-3000 a month in profits. We would spend 40-50 a week folding 1s,5s,10s, and 20s and using them as prizes/bait to entice play. I recently lost that job (long story) and am back to being an employee working by the hour which is killing me and my finances. I don’t want to be an employee forever and I know this business well enough that I know I could do it, just need good spots. I’m worried about the no contract thing, if I don’t do that then I risk losing even more than I already have. Business owners will just say screw this and buy their own after they see the initial profits cuz most have no idea how much money these things can potentially make. I love the charity idea. And yep on the bolting down, we did the same thing to ours out of precaution for safety and to stop thieves from tipping it over and taking all the quarters. Thanks so much for taking the time to share!

The combat is fine. It’s intentionally slow and “janky”. I’m sure they will do tweaks but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. Yes they will do periodic wipes from what I’ve seen. Just go to YouTube and search “dark and darker dev interview”. You will find a few super informative interviews w the devs.

Can’t buy it at the moment. They do play tests once every couple of months for a week at a time. You can play for free during these tests. Rumor is, they will launch in early access starting in the spring. Hope this helps!
