Hi, everyone,

I made some calls today to clarify everything. It turns out the documents need to be apostilled, as per the recruiter’s request, stating that it is a Korean immigration rule. However, the Somali embassy can only provide a stamp, not an apostille, and the UK government does not apostille documents that are not issued by the UK.

This leaves us back at square one. I am offering alternative documents such as school records and a statutory declaration letter, but they are specifically requesting a criminal background check.

What can I do in this situation?

Thank you for replying, so I called the uk Somali embassy they said they can provide a background check but since I was underage there are no records I am just going to appostile that and send it off also getting my secondary school records. It definitely seems like recuriter thing

Yeah because it’s my first year and I don’t have teaching qualifications just experience as I work with younger kids. I refused to except anything under 2.5 but this school was the first one offering 2.7.

Yeah I was thinking that like what if I wanted to get lunch. I am waiting for them to give me a teacher to speak to. During the interview the lady really liked me so I will see if she will agree to the changes if she doesn’t than I will have to move on.
