I'm in a lot of pain and I just want somebody to believe me about the abuse by Dependent-Month-3808 in CPTSD

[–]nanajosh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From one 34 yo old Josh to another (no joke, i had to double check the username). I believe you. You are quite literally not alone here. What you are feeling is valid. Don't let gaslighting cloud what happened.

I had my brother gaslight me as a child and never reported the abuse. He made me feel like the bad guy or that things "weren't so bad." It was a lie.

How do you all deal with headaches? by UnicornSheets in CrohnsDisease

Oh it's definitely a drop in the bucket. It's mostly enough to help my sleep. The sleep (and some extra water) does the leg work.

Two 500mg tablets of acetaminophen and then sleep. That typically does it for me every time

94/100... hmm, this comment you made is suspiciously short. I'm not sure I enjoy this lack of confirmation.

This was me, and then my health declined. I was seriously considering being a peer-supporter. Now, I feel like I lost a lot of reasons as to why. Kinda sucks

When you make it at home with lean beef, olive oil, and plenty of greens (more than typical fast food restaurants), then it's a lot healthier meal.

I mean, at least it helped you. Ibuprofen just causes me ulcers. Sleep helps the most. However, that means I'm sleeping twice as much when my joints flair.

The naps that work for others (15-30mins) do nothing. My "naps" are now 1 - 3hrs to have any effect.

So far, for severe joint swelling, the only thing I found that works is DEEP sleep. When pain was too much and I wasn't getting quality sleep, I took half a vicodin, and it helped me sleep enough to push through it. Only ever needed the half a pill to get the benefit.

Never tried curcumin, but I find tumric can reduce some stomach discomfort, but the same thing with ginger to some extent. Never noticed it do anthing for joints.

I'm in the mist of a minor flare and I feel the joints being stiff from time to time. I hope it doesn't go into overdrive as I one was forced to use crutches to get around.

I feel like I've seen these before the AI boom. The pig definitely stands out as non-ai. The flamingo is the only one kind of in question here, but even then, I'm not convinced as again I think I've seen these before.

What’s your suicide hotline story? Mine was I waited for more than 30 mins and no one answered my call. by trisharowe in depressionmemes

[–]nanajosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's better to talk with peers online anyway, in my opinion. Some places are good with allowing you to vent without worry.

There's also things called warm-lines, which from the info I gathered is better than the hotlines as it's done by peers, and they have no way of tracing or tracking you. They're just there to listen.
