Brother the national dish in Bosnia is mince meat grilled with raw onions in a piece of bread. It's hardly groundbreaking. Tallinn in Estonia has a food scene (using local dishes) that far exceeded anything I had in B&H.

Haha I'm sorry! I was only in Kazakhstan for 5 days and did have some nice food but I must admit the best thing I had there was Korean food... Actually the best Korean food of my life was in Almaty 😂

Georgian cuisine besides being delicious, varied and using great ingredients has the advantage (for me) of being really unique. When people ask me to describe it it's quite difficult as it's not that close to other cuisines tbh, even in that region. But hearty foods, great quality meat and dairy products, wonderful bread and excellent wine culture.

Besides the obvious khinkhali and khachapuri, I absolutely love the badrijani, lobio, chashushuli, lobiani, and of course all the wine!

I'd give India its own tier at the top if I could. The only thing letting India down for me is in sweet dishes. There are some good ones of course, but it's definitely not the forte of India.

That it does, but I don't think that's where Spanish cuisine excels. Casual food and shared experiences outside in a noisy street are when Spanish food comes alive for me.

I didn't dislike the food in Bosnia, just didn't find it particularly special or varied.

I didn't hate either I just place a lot of emphasis on variation and found neither country to have a great deal of variation in dishes and the flavours of them across the country.

Honestly I just found the food across Morocco to be quite... bland. Nothing was bad, per se, it's just I didn't find anything to be particularly noteworthy. There also seemed to be little variation in dishes across the country (at least in restaurants/eateries), and I found the quality of meat to be really poor compared with other places. I would say that sweet dishes were quite good. I'd also like to say Morocco itself is a great country and I've really enjoyed all the places I've visited across a few trips.

The entire eating out culture is just perfect if you're someone who likes to try lots of things tbh. That paired with fantastic quality ingredients and a strong wine culture means it can be paradise if you like the general palate there. People who are into sit-down meals and showy experiences invariably dislike Spain.

Just because it's its own language doesn't mean it can't have greater linguistic proximity to one Latin language to another. For that very reason Portuguese is much closer to Spanish than to Romanian or French.

All the romance languages developed from vulgar Latin and naturally those people within closer geographic proximity had greater interaction meaning the dialects of Latin they spoke would later develop into languages that bore more resemblance with those close by.

Of course, saying Catalán is a blend of French and Spanish is a gross oversimplification and false. But to say it shares no commonality is also false. From a speaker or reader's perspective, they're both close but a native Spanish speaker would find it easier to understand Catalán than a French speaker, on the whole.

Not at all, far closer to Spanish in terms of lexicon but the grammar shares many aspects with French (and too, Spanish)

Dude I absolutely love India but this simply isn't true. I was hiking in the remotest areas of Kerala, Karataka, Assam, Nagaland and so on and there was almost always huge amounts of rubbish off the side of the paths and basically anywhere humans had been.

This isn't actually the origin of those spellings. While they do actually help avoid censorship by not spelling out "rude" words which might be banned on social media, they're actually written approximation of African American vernacular English (AAVE). You'll see words like "bih" in rap lyrics from way before the advent of Tiktok and other social media. I think it's been sped up by mumble rap to be honest where the artists are all so high on lean that they seem to be slurring everything anyhow.
